um wat?
I see no point to this thread. I've requested that it be locked.
If you're new to the game please join "noobs only" games until you know when to retreat and when to stay. If you join "normal" or even "good players" games from the beginning you're only getting ganked and make your team lose.
Everybody started as a noob once. No shame in that.
So, you think it is ok to kick someone for having bad stats?
You think pug stomps are the way the game should be played?
The pugs getting stomped should lay down and enjoy, or they'll be banned?
First of all thanks for an answer that is something else than 'ZOMG! Threadlock!!1!'
Unfortunately I have a hard time distinguishing between honest "noobs only" games and the ones where the host is looking for "noobs only" to stomp.
Should I get in the habit of looking up the stats on everyone involved in the game before even thinking of joining?
Until the new patch comes out, which lets these stats be displayed ingame, yes. ![]()
You can also inform yourself about ingame mechanics and Demigod builds at the Demigod Wiki. There are quite a lot of mechanics in Demigod that are described nowhere in the game (or manual).

Not a bad habit to be in if the lobby description of the game you have joined leaves no clues.
Might also be an idea to construct your threads a little better,
are all valid limitations/requisits of a game.
Next time you play a game with a newbie who has over 500 ping and not only feeds, but lags the game to death, then you might come to understand. Don't like the rules? Don't join that game.
Other than to vent over a (presumed) loss i see no point to your OP.
The whole thread is just more evidence that the game needs visible in-game stats, which hopefully will be added shortly.
yes. you need to look up the hosts record before you bother joining, and the records of the people on each team in the lobby before you ready up. the 2 mins of effort to find a balanced game is better than sitting through 15-30 mins of getting stomped.
Stats doesnt mean shit anyway really, so kicking you for that reason is a bad move imo, but if the hosts wants to do it then sure, Go join another game and let the prick play alone.
People having good stats is more a proof of Noobstomping(probably with a Ventrilo premade) then actuall skill.
As such I have much more respect for people with more loses then wins, its often a proof that you dont care about winning but rather wants a bit of a challange, joining the obvious underdog side, picking an odd demigod rather then the obvious counter, going some wierd but fun builds etc.
Good chance that 1.2 gets released with impulse phase iv and ready2play. Those later two are scheduled for release on sept 9th. Fingers crossed.

d9bertil - I think you should check stats, especially if you are in a noob only game AND you are convinced people who are not noobs are joining.
If you check stats before you start a game, then you'll know if they are good or have a lot of experience. And then you can decide whether or not to play. I'd also recommend hosting your own games. Call them XvX Noobs ONLY PLZ!. Then, check stats when people join. If they aren't a noob in your opinion, ask them to leave or kick them.
Nah, but the chanses are higher then if they have more loses then wins ![]()
If you want a challenging game, when you know you have a good premade yes you have to kick people with 0-6 records. It really depends on the host and the players in the room. I dont mind having new guys on my team, despite the fact that it is basically a guaranteed loss, in fact i'd wager half of my losses are from exactly that reason.
However, if i let noobs join the other team it'd be alittle hypocritical not letting them play on mine. Most people probably dont share this sentiment. Expect to be kicked from Pro or Good players only games because as a noob you arent good, no matter how many times you stomp ai in single player. It takes a certain amount of time to gain the basic knowledge of what to do in a given situation; why it is so important to pack a few tp scrolls; or why not all flags are equal.
Just keep playing, try to play noob games and always check the stats, it actually pisses me off when i see guys with over 100 games played in noob games when i check noobs in my rooms stats. Its just lame guys, grow a pair and join a real room.
Is there any reliable way of checking stats from inside the lobby (where the teams are listed)? When I use alt-tab, it crashes the game.
