Etiquette on quitting
Rage quitters
I just played a nice game of DemiGod. My team had our derrieres (French for asses) pretty much handed to us. We came out strong with flag control but quickly lost our advantage and due partly to my inability to run, we fed the enemy quite a bit. I was thanked, quite cordially, especially given the pre-game dialog, by Bubonic for sticking around until the bitter end and it occurred to me that I’ve been in a number of games where when the tide turns, the losing team quits the game. I understand the desire to win. I want to win every game I play, but I’ve found that sticking things out, even in a situation where you have a high certainty of losing sometimes leads to learning which can help your next game.
What do you guys think? Is it poor sportsmanship to quite a game when you know you are going to lose? Or is it efficiency, simply moving on to a new game where you can be successful?
