Hi All

I am organizing a major DEMIGOD Tournament the weekend of 2 to 4 October in South Africa. I just need some advice on how to handle the LAN patching and support or must I ensure that all entrants have the game updated through Impulse before the LAN.

With LAN which versions will work together and so forth.

Also what is the likelihood that 1.2 will be out by then?

Many Thanks

Nico

Hi There

I have read through some of the other topics regarding Multiplayer and LAN support.

Thank you for creating a game that we could use at a LAN with only a few licenses, I do however have a few questions:

1- It looks like you can't create an archive and transfer it accross OS's, only specific OS to OS, is this correct?

2- You can download the game from the Anywhere account and use that to install the game, but how do you patch the game at a LAN with no Internet access? Can I just copy an allready patched copy over to the newly installed version and solve the patch issue that way?

3- The only way I see to load the archive is to give people my accout info, correct? Won't Stardock block or disable my account if some individual does not uninstall my account after the LAN, I suppose I must just reset my password to prevent this from happening?

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Nico

After some more reading I think I got to the bottom of this, you can download the fully patched offline version of the game through the impulse anywhere system and use that for LAN's. That throws the whole need for patching out the window.

Awesome idea and thank you.

Now make my month and release 1.2 before the end of the month on Impulse anywhere :sun:
