...

just played custom game, 3v3, cataract conquest

went 15/1 as rook

unforunately even though I played the perfect game and bought all the right upgrades at the right time, my two team-mates were incapable of getting any demigod kills as well as being unable to stand up to a (severly gimped) enemy team at any point in the game. we had complete loss of map control because it was effectively 1v3.

= game lost when enemy team hit war score 10

Well that's kind of a good news ain't it? More noobs -> more players -> more sd/gpg support -> in time, more good/pro players -> more matches -> less time to start a match -> more fun -> more competitive gaming.

Ok well, it sux u got stomped but all the noobs will eventually become good players...that's where the game will REALLY get interesting. Hang in there.

@Golgoth: Love the double facepalm  .

I had a same game, but it was fun, helping and giving advices althoug we lost. Watch for newbies, and help them. Like wraid said in his comment more players etc.

Once I had a match where my partner got pissed, cause our oak died after that he just stood at the citadel and did nothing, that was annoying. I have no problems with newbies, but with people who give up in an open match cause someone died I have.

how can u loose with 15 kills? I wish you had a replay because your teammates must have been horrific!

I resent calling then "noobs" as a noob is more a person that should know better actiing like an idiot in the game.

Some more "Newbies" however is a very good thing as the low player numbers where sorta killing the game for me and these so called "pros" will eventually teach them.

Well unfortunately new players are going to leave fairly quickly.

I had just joined the community recently and was enjoying playing until I noticed that even in noob only games advanced players were joining up just to stomp noobs.

Their response was hey I like noob bashing so you should just stop playing the game.

So needless to say after frustration after frustration me and my friend just gave up.

The community pretty much cannibalized itself simply because some jackass players enjoy noob bashing in a game that is impossibly one sided and no challenge what so ever.

I wish GPG would just implement an in game way to check stats of someone.  I try to alt tab out to check stats and 1/2 the time the game crashes on me.

This is just an extremely noob unfriendly game.  I can easily beat the single player and AI opponents are no longer a challenge and yet I still cannot get a game going where some good player(s) don't hop on the other team to stomp the hell out of me.  This happened so many times I have a trash record now and people just check my rank and kick me out of games.  Even though games I do manage to stay in they complement me on my playing and ask me why I have a trash record.

It sucks really bad too as I know that there are some great people in the community but getting constantly hammered by some asshole who enjoys no challenge what so ever is extremely frustrating.

I wish that GPG would put more effort into balancing this game. A beginner trying to figure out which items, cit upgrades, and demigod skills are useful and which are worthless, is yet another obstacle to learning how to play this game. Demigod has a steep enough learning curve as it is in my opinion. Right now some poor bastard is buying a Vinling Helmet and wondering why he keeps losing.

Patch 1.2 will have in game stats so you will be able to see pros joining. Just hang in there

You obviously never played Supreme Commander. The most unfriendly new player game EVER online.

Solid game though. Cant wait till SC2 :D

Back on Topic. Try direct noobs here http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=demigod+tutorial&search_type=&aq=0&oq=demigod+tutor

@Wraid: You're welcome. I thought it captured the moment beatuifully

i think everyone has been in that position. i always check ranks to see the win% of my team before i ready up to make sure they are atleast 40%, and if they arent i leave

Yea there are a few decent people in this community, but overall this community sucks.  Definatly the worst part of the game.
