Okay, we've all seen the ninja on a portal on just about every game... Usually erebus bat swarms past a tower, captures a flag. locks it then TP out of there. Then buys more tp scrolls and locks, and tp bacck in to re-lock the flag and bat swarm outta there.
So here's my idea for a new item that I think would bring new balance to the game (and those pesky shields and bat swarms, and tower smashers)
The item is "Totem of silence." Cost 500g. Use (consumable): Place totem of silence to silence all enemies within radius (same radius as TB fireball). Stands for 45 seconds. Cooldown 45seconds.
This could be placed next to an enemy flag and any teleports to that flag would be aborted due to silence. Also can be placed in battle to prevent sedna heal. UB grasp and spit, TB fireball, Rook Roll..... all abilities and casts would be silenced while they stand within the radius of the totem. If they move outside that radius, then they can cast. And because a teleport functions in 2 places on the map (where they tp from and where they TP to) then they cannot teleport from or to a location within the Totem of silence radius.
Also, to save your tower from pesky Torchbearer fireball + rain of ice + frost nova... or UB spit, or Rook structural transfer... Place a totem of silence at the spot in their cast range. So tb trying to fireball the tower would find his fireball aborted when he moved within the radius of the totem.
Get to your portal flag just after enemy captures it? don't have stun or other? Place a totem of silence at their feet, then watch them fail to cap lock it and teleport away... And bash their brains in for being a sneaky ninja!
Actually, if this item was in play, it would really stuff up a lot of my gameplay, because I do all of these sneaky tricks....!
Maybe I shouldn't have thought of it after all LOL.
