New ARTIFACT idea: Wizards cape

Okay so the name is lame. Maybe it would be a cape, maybe armour. Whatever, this artifact is a Magical Armour. Is an inventory item.

Cost.... 10000g

Effect: Absorbs 50% of damage dealt by magic abilities. For example fireball, Spit, Pentinance. Pretty much all things that cause damage to a DG that ARE NOT reduced from normal armour would be absorbed 50%.

an even better artifact would be 'Robe and Wizard Hat'  (google it hehe)

+50 roleplaying skill

+25% trolling speed

yeh, not sure about what level of absorbtion for balance, I just think there needs to be something other than health stacking that provides protection against spell or ability damage

The items ability seems overpowered. But i have an idea to fix that. It still should have 50% block and even 30% reflect. Hell the reflected damage should hit in a 360 arc around ur dg, but this should trigger only every 5 secs or something like that. Then it could be usable

 It should also cost 12k gold

What about that 16k buckler that reduces ALL dmg by 25% ?

WEll its 16k and its only 25%. 50% is a massive reduction and would make u very ahrd to kill. It should have a timed trigger just to balance it out more or less. If it were just a passive bonus just think, many dgs reley on abilities to push real dmg in. That make powerful skills very weak. But u may be right

25% reduction of ALL damage is more powered than 50% reduction in spell damage. later in game(artifact time) there's all sorts of critical hits on auto attack. 25% reduction on these is big. Max spell damage is about 1350, whereas auto attack damage gets quite high once they have artifacts..... So a 25% reduction in auto attack AND ability attacks would drag the game on a long time.

...Not to mention minion damage, 25% less would make giants quite pissy.

Hmmm..... but it would still be good to defennd against snipe and shit. Nukes would nuke u quite as hard. But many games dont stretch back to people getting 12k items to often. Only pro games can really do that and even then it isnt very often.
