Critical errors?

or a way not to loose?

Recently I beat two top players in Pug matches, both were seperate..... right as the citadel was about to be destroyed the game went into critical error and the match didn't count as you know.

Coincidence or Conspericy?

I'm sure u got mapcontrol, and the mapcontrol message triggers the critical gamestate error!

Always 3 flags for the opponent team to avoid the message.

This is one of the most dissapointing error ingame, because it restricts strategie enormous.

Just got one though our opponents had 3 flags left...

Me and my teammates Phirochu and Sephiroph were almost vicorious ( we were level 10 and warrank 10 with cats and 1 of there portals, they were level 7 and warrank 6), when suddenly the game got really really slow. It was that slow that the demigods hardly moved (somebody ever experienced that?), but the weird thing was that the pings and simspeed seemed fine.

Nobody knew what the problem was, but after 5 min we suggested that our opponents should resign cause they would lose anyway. But they didn't! And after 15 min an critical error showed, which forced us to quit the game, and guess who got the victory..... Right 1 of the lame opponents......... To me it smells a bit like cheating

I have played MANY games since 1.19 and the overlay updates and have never had a desync/invalid gamestate/critical gamestate error that occurred as a result of complete flag control.  Perhaps it is an issue with the specific language version you are using?  I think this specific issue you are having is tied directly to your version of the game.

Some top players have a nasty habit of clicking END GAME just before the citadel goes down.  Wonder why they'd do that.  I've also seen the game go to a critical state if people behave that way as well.  It's not 100% consistent, but can happen when multiple players leave the game at the same time.

While that's a possibility, I wouldn't say that for certain.  Just make a note if you see players exiting just before the citadel goes down. Got to be some reason to jump out a few seconds prior the game ending, eh?

Just my 2 cents:  since the latest update, I've noticed desyncs/Critical Game State errors a lot more than I used to in Pantheon.  I typically play 3 to 5 matches on any given night I have time to play, & depending on how frustrated I get with finding a match & with desyncing 1/2 to 3/4 of the way into a match.  The past few days, I've literally had 2 to 3 desyncs/CGS errors back to back each day, about 15 to 20 minutes into each game.  Technically, there seems to be no consistency to it:  ping, # of players, map, etc.

In my case, I think some of these are legitimate, but I've had too many instances where the game crashes as soon as my team tips the tables & is clear we'll win.  So IMO, I think sometimes there is a legitimate error or player's connections are bad, but I also think some people know how to exploit the game & do so when they are about to lose.  And again, for whatever reason, the frequency at which I get crashed out of games has increased drastically since the latest patch(es) (overlay & one just yesterday I think).

I've experienced slowness when people ALT + TAB out of the game.  It doesn't show in SIM or Delay I believe.

 

I've honestly played against people that can purposely slow down the game as they are getting owned, usually when they are about to die.

 

But they could also be causing a helluva ton of traffic right clicking...

Only in custom games, Pantheon games are not involved, and I think it only happens on cataract, all the other maps I played, I never had mapcontrol, what i can remember.

The greatest fun was that, I played a game with Frogboy 2 or 3 weeks ago, I told him that this bug will happen, if we take all the falgs, he didnt believe me, and what a suprise, the message triggered the bug!

what guys? why should they know what it is?

this error triggers without flagcontrol and i had flagcontrol 1000 times and never got the error. well, up to today (see my thread). had today the first time of all invalid gamestat errors i already had the case the it happend while the opponents hat at most 3 flags left.

so what exactly makes you think it is related to flag control as it happens with and without it?
