I'm new to demigod and this forum so I'd like to start by saying hi to all
Now, I'm behind a very restrictive lan with nat and I'd like to host a demigod server to allow other ppl from the lan to join. My problem is that I don't know which are the necessary ports *for the in-game lan browser* for it to list all LAN games.
I know that demigod uses udp 6073 by default for the actual game, however for some reason all other games show the same symptoms. That is, no other in-game lan browser lists any locally hosted games. For example, if someone from the lan hosts a quake 3 or CS game, no one will see the game listed in the in-game browser BUT they can still connect via the console if they supply the IP of the host pc directly.
Now obviously this is not an option with demigod since there's no console command to connect to a lan IP directly and that's why I'm asking for your help.
Does anyone know what kind of packets should be allowed to go through the firewall in order to be able to see the listed games?
Also note that the necessary ports 6073+ImpulseReactorOptions ports are open according to PFPortChecker so it must be something else that gets blocked and prevents, demigod or any other game I've tried, for that matter to list any lan games.
Any suggestions?
Thank you,
