Minimum specs?

Yeah, I know the official minimum specification. But that's well in advance of my box, and I really want to try this game out. So I downloaded the demo anyway, and waddayou know? The demo runs on a 400MHz PII! Heck: I even tried it on my old 200MHz Pentium MMX, though the verb there is "crawls" ;)

So, the question is: if I buy the full version and try to run it: what breaks? Only cut scenes and animations?

shouldn't be any problem. You don't really need the movie files to play or the music file. Heck, you could you use the mp3 player in galciv to play your musics instead....but i never got it to work though :p

However, if you are playing on large map...say gigantic...than your specs. would not cut it...

Beside, get a new system ;) its cheap these days...you can get a good systems for around $600...or build your own like me :)

Hmmm. I have it running on a K6-II/333, 160 MB, with a 16 meg AIW. It. Runs. Slowly. But, it runs. It could even be considered playable. I didn't even bother removing the movie files. However, I didn't try a game beyond "Medium" size, so your milage may vary.
