ppl resetting stats? or buying new keys

from Demigod Forums

alls i know is im getting roflstomped, or having hour long games with peeps with like 15 games. 

has anyone else encountered this?

I've seen some low game players who were actually pretty good. Some of them played in Epoch I and then had a break from Demigod (Epoch I games are not included in the total games). Maybe some are indeed buying new Demigod keys just to reset their stats.

I wouldn't be surprised if a a few of the ppl with legit 90+% win records who were being kicked from games left and right were using the 19.99 coupons for a new account.

I would be very surprised. There is no incentive. No tournaments, no reason to have a high rank. The individual skill ceiling for this game is also rather low.

I know myself and a number of others had the games played reset when they did database work last week.  I went back to 0 games, as did many others.  Thought it was universal, no?

I never got reset according to overlay

 

And Poly, it would make sense if you wanted to play a game and not get kicked for the overlay stats. I'm not talking about the people who actually pay attention to their stats, but those who are good players with high win% and get kicked for only that.

This post does explain what is happening/what will happen:  http://forums.demigodthegame.com/367601.  The smartest conclusion for many that simply want to play the game is to get a new account.  You can't play a game with your friends if you are good generaly speaking.  Even pugging, where does the highest ranked guy go to balance things out.  You can mitigate all of this rubbish with a new account, at least for a time.  I personally could care less who I'm playing against, so long as I get to play and don't have to deal with the whining of a petulant child. 

 Edit - I can just see it now... instead of crying PREMADE, the latest trend will be NEW ACCOUNT GUY or NEW PROFILE or SMURF.  Glad to see that there really isn't much of a way to elevate things here anymore.

I think it's a bug with the overlay display. Often times, only the first number or first 2 numbers will show up. EG someone who's played 130 games sometimes shows as 1 game or 13 games.

There is a bug in Pantheon where the games stats are displayed incorrectly.  This includes total number of games as well as win percentage.
