Oak DPS build

This is a guide for those who would like to own others with oak!  Although classic support/tank oaks are fun, you are really wasting your time. Let QOT and others handle support, while oak does the rappin. Oak, if most don't know, has the best Damage potential in the game. While it may not seem so, I'll show you my build, and my perspective with Items and play style included!

Lvl 1: At this lvl, I ussally get Basic Dmg gloves, Totem of War (favor item) and a basic chest hp armor. My first skill is the spirit ward, and ill usally just plant all of my wards around my combat section, getting me 3 easy spirits. Gaining that first level should come fast, and by then, you won't have too much gold still.

Lvl 2:  At first phase of this level i get spirit weapon skill (gives more base damage+more dmg based on # of spirits active) I know you think im an idiot for getting those damage gloves and that favor item, but think about it! 25+15+20+15+180=... roughly 250 damage, by level 2. Thats fuckin insane, trust me! I realize that UB can easily match you up, but nobody does the DPS build for UB too often. You'll start rappin DG's now. The spirits generally give around 5-10 bonus damage, and the skil gives 20 bonus weapon damage right off the bat. I'll start to assault DG's now, but generally ill farm till lvl 3.

Lvl 3: This level is important! On this level, i get pentinance, meaning all enemies will run in fear of you! Ill usually go back and get a new mana helm and some hp pots. By this level, im all out against DG's so i can get some easy gold! You can probally see my pattern here, but ill have more soon!

A minion build has way higher dps than a dps build.

If you can manage this build and stack plenty of health it works too ofcourse, and it'll be a lot easier getting kills with this build than with a minion build.

Did you know spirit weapon's extra damage is doubled whenever you control at least one spirit?

And it gives even more damage for every 3 spirits you control.

Mard's Hammer gives 40 damage but no attack rating, so at low lvl it's better than 5% rating and 15 damage, but I guess your item works better at the higher levels, don't know around what level that would be though, might as well be 15 wich makes Mard's Hammer better in most games.

Also, health gives way more benefits than dps.

BoTF = 800 health
Mard's Hammer = 40 damage

800 / 40 (let's say it's DPS, but it's actually quite a bit less till a higher lvl)
= 20 seconds, I don't see a lot of fights lasting this long

So you need to hit your enemy 20 seconds before you get the advantage by using a damage favor instead of a health favor. Wich makes the health favor better in nearly every fight.

Your guide is missing quite a few things too.

Do you use shield? Do you use Surge of Faith? Do you increase the Spirit Ward skill? ...

What items do you get after level 3?

Seeing how Mard's hammer is an assassin's favor item it isn't an option lol.

You forget to mention that untill towers are upgraded with aoe this build will be able to take them out quickly without taking damage. It will force them to spend 500 on upgrades really early in the game or they will loose there towers rather quickly.

Huh, i was under the impression that towers ALWAYS have AOE, even without the upgrade, I thought it just gives more damage and *slightly* more AOE...Any truth to this?

i have always preferred minion build before assassin, and my plan was/is always: spirits 1st, SP 2nd, peni or shield 3rd, spirits II 4th, Sof 5th, DJ 6th, etc. trying to max spirits always asap.  (that is the best oak build imo  )

think this changed in the last patch, but I might just not have noticed it before

towers always have AOE, they pretty much kill an entire creep wave (without priests / archers) in 2 shots.

I get totem of war as my favor item at beggining game, and by level 3, i go and get some hp items, and maybe even some more dps items. When i hit level 3, ill have penitinance, which will boost me extremelly DPS wise for DG's. And yes, enemies towers must fear me, because i can easily take them down. I'll try and get as many spirit upgardes as i can (better spirit ward). Through the levels im always getting new pentiance, spirit ward, and SW. Their towers will drop like flies against my assault, unless they waste gold on upgrades.
