Up til this moment I have been using a wireless connection through an unknown source at my apartment. The bars usually varied fro 1 to three and rarely had no connection at all sometimes, but my in game ping usually remained below 300, and most the time below 150. I'm home for the holidays at my moms apartment and can barely find a wireless connection (linksys) and to top it off we actually got a land line through a modem here so I really don't need wireless, but in game my ping on either as drastically changed jumping all the wa from 150 to 9000/5000/3000/300/200. In the last game I had 211 ping and -1 sim speed, ok now I have never had the best sim speed usually between 4 - 7 but what's making my ping jump so monstrously and sim speed drop so..... The land line in't dial up, but it's through a modem with the cable.
