Aliens vs. Predator banned in Australia

That's just lame.

I sure am glad I'm not Australian. Is it just me or are these guys in the news for banning everything lately? Poor Australian gamers get screwed by "the man" again.

Oh my god.  I just read the article and its description of the violence present in that game.  You poor, poor Australians.

It's no more or no less then you'd see in the movies those characters come from. I wonder if they'll ban the movies too? Pretty lame from the country that turned out such greats as "Mad Max".

It's not like any Aussie with an internet connection can't get those games anyway. All their government is doing is promoting piracy.

..And I agree about Vegemite. A friend had sent me some and OMG!! 8C

I thought the ways their laws were set up made it Illegal to have the normal versions of those games even sent in to the country? If any company saw a order for the game and it's address was in Australia they'd have to send that customer the Australian version of the game. I could be wrong about that though.

I meant something a little more nefarious, torrents and the like. I mean if I wanted to play something and was not allowed to buy it because of what I felt to be unjust regulations... On a more legal front, what's to stop me in US from buying a boxed copy sticking it in a brown box and shipping it to a bud. Really the only thing they are stopping is their own retailers and the game companies from making the money they normally would get from it.

Believe me Deth it aisn't as simple as that and it's driving everyone here round the twist...basically theres a hideous little bedsore politician making a name for himself out of gaming and it's prompting our communities to split and forcing cumbersome processes into our buying habits.

It feels like being forced to fill out a survey over and over till the end of time tbh, as what used to be good times and server choices is turning into having to pay attention to creepy weird old men that have developed strange imposing logics in order to trigger their accumbens septi systems.

Lol...I actually logged in here to take a break from it all.

Bottom line...send us some love please...our phasors are failing against this borg upgrade

It's actually the interactivity factor that's causing alot of the problems...thus movies are fine (and have r18 anyway)

No...we have our ways, it's just a pain in the a&$ Technically it's supposed to work as you say, but customs are hardly going to grind to a halt to check games...especially when there are refugees to harass.
