1st rule of PUG fight club...

you don't QQ in the lobby about teams.

It's getting old.  I like to do a rough balance and go, not listen to the "but he has .001% higher ratio!  This is SO UNFAIR!"

...or worse, the pre-mades that are missing one and cry their ass off until they get a good player, then proceed to team-play stomp the other team.  The lobby time lasts longer than the game does.

In fact, the lobby times are, generally, lasting longer than the games.  You wait for players, try to balance, cater to the whiners about that extra 2% difference, have the pre-mades who stop by and ask if we all can move around so they can be on the same team, leavers, more people jumping in and start the crying all over again...

Maybe start naming games "WILL WAIT 30 MINS FOR ULTIMATE BALANCE!" or "PUGs LOOKING FOR PRE-MADE TEAMS!", but "Quick game" and "We got hookers!" probably implies it's going to be a quick start, rough balanced, play for fun (it is a game, afterall).

If you're THAT worried about your win/loss ratio... give me your address and I'll send you a men's health mag and a protein bar.

QFT. Balance out the total noobs then go. That's my policy. Apparently those of us who don't really care about our stats are a rare bread.

Amen man. When people complain, I just send the n00b to my side and go. I don't care about winning or losing and I'm totally fine playing with a couple of new learners. If that is what it takes to get everybody to shut up and play, then I'll do it.

YA PREMADES R THE DEVIL.....

/sigh this same thing again?

"I don't have friends so neither can you!"

also, you decided to up and quit in the first 2 minutes of this game:

http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/game/1138075/player/47557/

you knew the familiarity we had (I think 8% and 22%) from the lobby.  Yet within 2 minutes you dropped out after whining that your team sucked.  And here you are complaining about people whining.  Odd.

I was actually in the game Cinders is referring to, and what he says is true.  We had a known noob on our team against 3 decent players, and when we were about to launch, one of our opponents unclicked in and demanded that his teammate switch demigods from QoT to Reg.  We ended up having to wait for an additional 2 minutes while they argued, even though they probably would have won even without demigod switching.

Picking your teammate's demigods when you already have the advantage is really picky and greedy.  Don't make people wait, just click in... >.>

@ Rawwwrrr (sry Makeshift, realized it looked like I was talking to you, lol)

Seriously?  Post the replay plz.  Watch as baldanado runs into their towers at least twice and dies, because he's new.  We accepted the new guy after your side, in the lobby, whined like little kids.   X(

Now, as the new guy was not communicating, our team decided to concede.  And of course, he doesn't read comm, so he never conceded.

And... you're team agreed it was pointless as baldnado randomly wandered into the enemy towers at lvl 1, dying, twice in 1 minute and 2 seconds.  We all got a laugh out of it, then went about trying to end the game through conceding.

So:

A ) You're really the whiner here, ignoring you're own team's comments, wacky and I agreeing that it was pointless with a non-communicating totally new player, and the "GG guys" ending.

B ) You're part of the whiners in the lobby about balance, aka why we switched around for baldanado to even be on our team

Since I can't physically reach you, do me a favor and reach around behind you, grab your underwear, and yank upwards.

For a positive ending: send me your address for your free protein bar and health magazine!  :w00t:

Oh gawd, is Rawwwrrrr one of those guys?

"You're really going to play QoT/TB/Rook/Sedna/DA/Regulus with a Regulus/DA/Sedna/Rook/TB/QoT on the same team?!  Switch to Oak/UB/LE please."

Announcement to the world:  If we're playing against the Pacov Possey, then I'll switch to a top tier demigod to make you happy.  However, if we're playing a casual game against three non-pro players then you can just smeg off and find another game if you don't like my choice of demigod, ok?

Breed, you spelt it in a rather crumby way (Yes bad joke of the century I know)

You've no idea how annoying it is that I cant play as a regulus or TB because Im either a) the best player in my team b) my team sucks soo bad they need one of the top 3 guys

If you ever want to play with someone who doesnt give a damn about stats play with me

Stats mean nothing in a broken ladder.

Stats mean nothing in a random ally  pub game.

Stats mean nothing when people can pick and choose their games.

Stats mean nothing, player = everything

They play the game for the wins and the stats.

I just play the game.

But what confuses me is that they think that this game is "Team Death Match"

That would be the case if there was no leveling, Flags, Warscore, early/mid/late game and Stratergy :)

"Pro's" (lol pro's,... who gets payed to play this game !?!?!? who ever calls themself a pro is a stats whore) think that strats are item build orders and teamwork skirmishes !

Sorry if i seem a bit bitter, but the game would benefit more if people actually know what stratergy is all about.

1st rule of Strategy

"you need to think about how you played in each match, what worked, what didnt work, where you went wrong, etc. Don't write off your losses to imbalance or lameness, if its in the game you have to deal with it so figure out a way to do so."

^^ this and thats what replays are for not only can you see your total failure but how you where owned... this would be like a cop telling you "hey this is why, how, and the video of you getting mugged and handle like a like girl. Watch the pain learn from it and become a pro mugger your self.

I don't claim to be a pro/mugger myself but after watching replays of my rapes and talking to the Pro's  I can sometimes not make a complete fool out of myself. Thank You Guys

The wait time in our lobbies?  About 2 mins, but that's because we play on our lan rather than deal with the semi-hell that is a Demigod lobby.  I fire Demigod up about twice a week, then allllllllmost go to an online game, stop, remember how painful the last several were, and play solo, again.

Sorry, but I blame the Devs (NOT Stardock).  ALL they had to do is have a "random teams" and/or even better unranked games, and most of this would not happen.  Then you could put up a "Random Teams" titled game, get 6 players in it, and hit the start button.  No worries about stat checks or bickering or worrying about how the other guy might affect your ranking.  If it was both unrankend and random teams, you could probably get a game going almost as fast as a Lan game.

lol!  Mugged and handled!

I think that should be our new PUG rally cry: NO MORE MUGGINGS!

Mugging:(1) a threatened or attempted physical attack by someone who appears to be able to cause bodily harm if not stopped

               (2) amiably playing a PUG game with noobs and all, only to be beat down by a team of 15 year olds, whacked out on Code Red.

why watch the replay?  I know what happened.  He ran into the towers AFTER you said the equivalent of "fuck it this guy sucks im out" and clicked the concede button.  If I was in his shoes I might run into a tower just to piss you off at that point.  The game isn't over after one death.

A ) explain how I'm whining plz.  All I'm doing is calling you a hypocrite, which you are.  Instead of complaining in the lobby, you let the game actually go through and THEN bitched about balance, followed by a ragequit.  Personally I'd rather have you bitch about it in the lobby so we can keep kicking people until you think you've found someone who will suffice 20 minutes later.

B ) I'm certainly not part of the whiners in the lobby about balance.  My premade hosted a game and you joined.  The fact that we were premade was no secret (thx to overlay), and not a single one of us complained about how awesome your side was and how it was unbalanced for us.  You didn't switch around so he could be on your team, we were together from the beginning on my side.  I don't understand how you can even think you're right about having baldanado switching over for balance.  He was a noob, all 3 of us were over 80% wins and over 800 games played.  How could anyone possibly think switching a noob from the 80% 800 win team to the other team to be replaced by another 80% 800 win person would be balanced?

edit:  btw, my own teams comments were "omg srsly?  Ugh this sucks... why couldn't he have ragequit in the lobby?" in vent.  Also, if you're going to go with the pugstomper theory, plz don't bother.  We've already quashed that idea several other times.  The only reason we end up playing noobs in some games is because we don't want to wait an hour to play one game.

I just get pissed when my Ub/Oak can't push Da/Reg out of their lane and end up dying 3+ times each while as DA i'm trying to push the other teams oak out of the lane... then i RQ :D
so i might whine for balance in the lobby but games like that are why ;)

while completely "mugging" a group of noob can be fun and their tears/emo rage quits funny the true test is matching up with players in or a bit higher than your skill level so that you grow as a PUG player.

That being said I do enjoy taking apart loud mouth smack talking noob and mugging him again and again untill emo rage ensues...
