Generals Vs Assassins Poll

So, I checked the top 20 pantheon players and only two of them are on the light side, meaning they're been playing assassins right?  Not sure how the experience system works, since neither of them had amazing records like the general/dark side players.  Anyway, here's a little informal poll here about how this happened and what it means for the future of Demigod.

Do you think that the powers that be who influence and make decisions about this game went in this direction because:

A: They do not realize that the universal strategy of the game is health stacking + monks + sigil of vitality = win

B: They realize that this is the only viable strategy but don't really care and just wanted to see how badly people who tried to play this game without monks would do against generals.  In fact, for Epoch IV they are probably going to step it up and have Erebus, UB, Rook, and Oak against the rest of the demigods and see if anyone actually loses playing with the tier ones.

C: They're doin the best they know how, but its hard enough to perfectly balance a gamewith a Blizzard size budget and addicts such as myself will have to get over it.

I'm gonna need an option C.

None of the above. They just seem to like dividing the DGs into readily distinguishable categories for pantheon and they don't view the affair as competitive.

Didn't they say demigod wasn't a competative game?

Did the people who invented chess know that the only viable strategy would be to protect the center and develop pieces?

Terrible example bro, but I'm an avid chess player so let me help you with your Demigod analogy.

If chess was like Demigod, then you would only use pawns, knights, and your queen.  The bishops and rooks would just sit in your back row every game and you'd occasionally think to yourself "Wow, this game would be a lot better if these pieces were actually useful."  Occasionally you'd play against someone who would use bishops and rooks, and you'd know they were either really really good and thought they could beat you with a disadvantage, or that they were beginners who didn't know that those pieces were no longer viable in competitive chess games since people had figured out that the other pieces were superior.
