Hello, just thought I would make a quick first post.

I recently installed the Demigod demo and have been playing it almost non-stop for the last couple of days, I phoned my local gaming store and they have a few copies in stocks and will be picking up the actual game soon. I'm enjoying the aspect of just focusing on a single unit and having to work with your other heroes to win the game, not to mention the decent variety of game play styles with each hero. See I currently play DoW2 online but the game is starting to ware on me with the large amount of balance issues. I've been playing the game since early release and have watched patches come and go and the balance shift from army to army and it's starting to get old.

Anyways I thought I would make a quick post asking about the multiplayer aspect to this game and it's community, Obviously the forums here are active and there seems to be a fair number of people posting so I assume the game has a decent online base. Now what I want to ask is since this game is a number of months old how is it for a new player to get into the multiplayer side of things? If the base community to good and I'm going to be trashed my first 30 games? Or are there others out there willing to help or learn as well? Or should I just be waiting for Starcraft 2 so I can start fresh?    Also how are multiplayer matches? one thing I enjoyed about DoW2 was that fact that matches could swing on a single unit being killed or used correctly(though there was some unbalanced units that would ALWAYS swing them in their favor) so is Demigod more of a "Hey I didnt do something right at the start of the game I'm going to loose" or do you always have somewhat of a chance to pull into the game?
