Just returned to this game after 6 months and I wonder

So,

there was so many problems with Demigod some time ago, so I left. And when the Impulse app recently told me DemiGod got updated I had to check it out. Still a fun game. I would play singleplayer if there was any challenge in it.

However, I can't find any games. I have tried to play custom, but I get kicked out every time. So I tried Pantheon and have been able to play a few games, but most of the time it's "you're the only player waiting".

What is the current status of the game, where can a casual gamer find games. I'm not good, and I don't have DemiGod-friends/clan/group/whatever. Are there any specific times when people are playing pantheon or is it always 90% waiting, 10% playing?

I apologize if this sounds like complaining, I just want to know.

Just join the games hosted that have noob only or such in the title, or host your own. You will be kicked from other games for a while until people consider you to no longer be a nood via the not-so-good stats window.

Ah, thanks. So that's what's been going on. I get kicked becuse my stats is zero. I guess I have to start joining noob games then.

Yeah, playing DemiLobby sorta sucks sometimes. ._. But you can always host your own "noob" games, and I'll be honest: you probably qualify as a newb.

Sure, I have no problem with any label anyone feels to slap on my name. When I started playing I played Noob only games until I was yelled at for not being a noob (it's some kind of arbirary hard rule I'm sure). I just happen to enjoy a relaxing game after work, and just want to get into games without all the drama. I am actually too dumb/too lazy to understand how to optimize my playstyle. If there was anyway for people like me to be automatically matched up with people of similar skill, like a ladder or something, it would make me happy.

Hosting has a whole host of other problems associated with it. People join, complain, switch teams, complain and leave anyway, so sometimes it's faster to wait for 20 min in Pantheon for the "You're the only player your dumbass" to disappear.

yeah kinda sucks for a lot of players that they always get kicked from games. I wonder how the community can grow if every new noob gets kicked off and sometimes harassed for joining games...

stardock should come up with a a better trueskill finder. like microsoft is using for xbox live

This game is rather dead... For a few days  now I tried to play Pantheon games but to no avail. No one seems to be online, ever.

I'm in the same situation.  Saw an update to 2 free demigods.  downloaded the update.  Spent 15 minutes looking for games, hosting, getting kicked.  Felt deja vu on why I left in the first place and then I logged out.

Hey guys,

 

Same situation, been playing since Beta 1A, and left shortly after retail. I even remember Blitz64 :) The game is dead now. No one hosts, those who do instakick. So sad, all those fun hours... oh well.
