Can get into game lobby, but says I am not connected

I have had an issue. I am realtively new to Demigod, and maybe this is a noob issue. When I went to join a game, I was allowed to choose my Demigod, get ready, etc., But when the leader went to start, he said that I wasn't connected. Is there any solution to this?
