hmm seems my clans home is under attack by the vampire hunters and where being pushed towereds the ashlands i already lost a third of my clan and the sun is riseing....... im going to play so i may continue this story
Oblivion has a bigger map than Morrowind, so technicallly its bigger. But its true that it is very limiting for the story part, while in Morrowind the options are limitless. In Morrowind you can do pretty much everything, but still Oblivion graphics>Morrowind graphics. Morrowind is a pretty old game so it couldnt have any better graphics imo. I remember that I updated my GeForce 4 MX 440 (worst gfx card I ever had) to an ATI Radeon 9700 (best card for its time, it kicked all other card's asses by far), just for this game. And when I run Morrowind once again, but with my bright and shiny new ATI card, I was literally STUNNED by the graphics on the water surface (The starting point on the ship is by far better than the silly prison start on Oblivion). Last but not least, Morrowind has the best music theme ever for me, I dont know, I just absolutely love it

hmm morrowind or oblivion .... both have mods .... but both still have the same combat... which needs to be redone.
Morrowind would win over oblivion because oblivion removed a lot of things only really added graphics, though its harder to follow the quests on morrowind...
gm i should melt youtr computer i will give you the ultamit morrowind graphics packs self tailored by me to rivel oblvion just let me find it..........
Since Morrowind graphics engine is 1 gene older (DirectX 8.1a), then there is no way you can achieve equivalent graphics as Oblivion's DX 9.0 graphics engine. Seriously...stop embarassing yourself skidiantasa.
And what did you think anyway? that there are only graphics enhancement mods for Morrowind only? Oblivion gets a lot better visually with just a simple mod.
Oh and about melting my computer....there is no way you can do that with the petty requirements of Morrowind....my PC can run 2 Oblivion applications at the same time with max details and 1280x1024 each.

Because you just claimed that you can achieve DX 9.0 equivalent graphics, using an old DX 8.1a gfx engine, which is...absolutely 100% crazy.
Anyway, lets be realistic here ok? Bethesda softworks, has created all 4 Elder scrolls series. The point is to think of the 2 games WITHOUT any mods. Now, they could easily make the last 2 games (Morrowind & Oblivion), with max texture resolution, enhanced shaders, and generally better graphics. Why they didnt do that you will ask? Because of course even the way their graphics were when they where released they were bringing even the most hardcore PC of the time to its knees. I mean, most people when I bought Morrowind, had GeForce 3 or GeForce 4 at best. Nobody could afford an ATI 9700 at the time. And especialoly Oblivion, (even more than Morrowind), was bringing EACH and EVERY PC of the time to its knees. That means that if you bought the most expensive PC that money could buy, you would play Oblivion with max 28-30 FPS.
Basically what I am saying is, that the 2 games had the best graphics on their time, but since Morrowind is a lot older, its normal that it has a lot inferior graphics and visual effects than Oblivion.
So dont even dare to compare these 2 games at their original versions.
As far as I am concerned about mods, they simply do what I said above, they use max texture resolution, enhanced shaders, And usually just replace the current textures, with other, prettier visually ones.
So, please skidiantasa stop embarassing yourself.
Morrowind:
Some of the pictures are graphically enhanced with mods.
Oblivion:
As you can see, the lack of HDR and the use of a much older Shader model, make Morrowind a lot inferior to Oblivion, which visually by far better than Morrowind, in any way.

Oblivion might have better graphics...but if you like magic morrowind is teh best >.<
