All that nice stuff is just #ifdef'd out of your build.  It's not that we're evil.

..okay yea, we're evil. But we just want to make sure the game can stand on its own and not rely on pretty graphics.

I know I'm probably in the minority, but I'll say it again - I'll probably play on the  cloth map even in the release.  I like sliding pewter miniatures around a Tolkienesque hand-drawn map. :)

While I agree with the sentiment, combat on a more descriptive field is always nice...

I am really disappointed in the animations on these pictures! The graphics just look too static!! I really hope that they are going to be at least as good and smooth as the ones in King's Bounty, else this game is going to be a complete failure!
