Its not like this happened one time. I did it to pacov a few night ago and I have the replay as well but I am sure he would just say the same thing that you did so I am not going to bother arguing about it anymore.

Maybe 5 times then?

5 is not even a lot considering how much you've played.

We've all been here since day 1 of Demigod. If a pure ooze build is actually the best build, I'm sure we would've all converted by now.

Just won another game with it 4-0. I have been playing this build for months now with plenty of success, if you want a new flavor of beast in your life I suggest you give it a whirl.

It seems difficult for an ooze beast to stand out in a game.  Ooze is a toggle.  All you have to make sure is that it's on when you are in a fight and off when you aren't (unless you're trying to suicide right before someone kills you).  That just leaves Grasp for active skills.  So all an ooze beast can show is the right teles, faking, movement, etc.  It would appear to contribute by field presence more than anything else.  I'm curious as to what you look for to say whether an ooze beast is awesome or not.

Like I said, Ooze Beast is good. It just keeps coming and coming and the sigils it has are absurd. Ooze Beast > Hybrid on Prison with Sedna, for example. Plus, it only has two counters, which are TB and another Beast that does have Spit. Rook for about first 20 minutes of the game, but it really depends on how batshit insane you are at rushing him before he gets a farm set up and how well supported you are and how well your teammates support you.

If there is another beast, you're stuck with getting spit for maximum effectiveness. If there isn't... well. Ooze is a go :P This is espicially true if you're playing against Oak, Erebus, Sedna (pick two).

I'm curious about the item picks for a pure ooze build. Obviously unbreakables would be bought after nimoth...but what else are you buying aside from candy popping the sigils?

All you do to counter a pure ooze beast is maybe run a second or two sooner then you normally would so you don't get stuck trying to escape his diseased claws.  And also buy splash damage for your towers then port to kill him when he's overpursuing because he has to chase until he completely finishes the kill.  Hybrid builds have full ooze too and insane health, the only thing I would be missing from pure ooze by the end is 2 points in diseased claws and I'm guessing some points in enhanced attributes which is easily made up for by the 1500 damage spit, which also does area damage at the highest level.  It's really hard to play beast badly as long as you ooze, all I'm saying is in a game between 3 man teams the one who has a beast that isn't spitting would be the reason his team loses.

WHAT if the beast just went straight spit / speed though and didn't get ooze until you yelled at him but by then it was too late?

Does that beast win? Gogo bots / boots of speed to start.. then shortly after a wand of speed, and even though he has unbreakables and bots, grabs a scaled helm and keeps it until the end of the game.  hahahhahahahhahaha

In 20 minutes, a Rook will probably have one side all ripped apart.

I beg to differ, I have only saw a few rooks that actually could do it.

Well when I say something generic like "a Rook" or "a UB" - I'm referring to decent players that use them. Of course a Rook won't rip anything down if it's the player's first game.
