Getting this game.
So I was thinking about buying this game and I just wanted some opinions about this game. I heard its sorta like Dota. If you guys would be kind enough to post the Pros & Cons of this game that would be appreciated.

Pros:
Balanced game (Even though it may not seem like it at first)
Nice little community
Addictive
Cons:
Networking problems
Game boils down to get giants.
Even though there are a few maps, only one map is played 95% of the time.
Not many games available, long waits sometimes.
That is a rough idea of the game.
I play alot of HoN and we only play 1 map anyway so thats not bad and what do you mean "Game boils down to get giants"? And with Matchmaking in HoN you have to wait a long time to. ![]()
Im glad the game is balanced.
long wait if you have a high win% there are many noob games around
Premades 60% of the time makes for easy wins against pugs and challenging matches in pro games
Cons:
Networking problems
Not many games available, long waits sometimes.
Ub is very overpowered.
Le is fucking annoying
You have to download vent
Playing with friends a lot mark you as a premade
People bitch when you don't play a demigod the way they think it should be played.
I did a bit of add
So is this game worth getting then?
for $5 sure. If nothing else you can play it for a few days with the AI and get your money's worth -haha-
There is a demo on Impulse. You can try it against AI I think. Just host a game, add AI to all the slots, have a bit of fun.
If you get on vent(after playing about 100 games) then definitely...
i play it every day its worth it for a cheap price but know that the game is terribly bugged and it has been abandoned if ur a gamer looking to focus on 1 game than skip this one
It's well worth the $5. It may become one of your favorite addictions/irritants.
Good matches are incredible. Poor matchups, not so good. Give it a shot.
Heroes of Newerth is a lot smoother with a lot more heroes, really the best thing about Demigod is the community and good 3v3 or 2v2 play.

You will like this game but take your time learning it don't expect to jump into a good players lobby and be allowed to play.
This games community is great
Gameplay is fun and addictive
all the DG's are VERY unique
Graphics are awesome
Tactical Zoom is bad ass
Easy to get games
Voice Chat with Ventrillo is possible
Large difference between experience players and new players
Competitive community
etc etc etc..............
One of the best multiplayer games i've ever played. Nuff said. I do think DOTA & League of Legends suck though so....
We have synnworld here
etc etc etc..............
Nice list.
Play the demo first. If you can get the game for $15 or less, go for it. There is not much to the single-player, although there are some mods (like Peppe's AI mod) that make solo a bit more interesting. If you can get into a good online match, the game can be exhilarating and addicting. Maybe the best multiplayer game I've played, even with the bugs. As others have said, do be prepared for long waits for games. The online community is quite small. And regarding maps, you use to be able to get into a good 4v4 on Leviathan or Zizurat, but now it's Cataract all the time. Sigh...
Tactical Zoom *Droooooooooooooool*
To put it simply...
This game has serious flaws but it's also amazingly fun and addictive. On top of it all is a tightly-nit, active, friendly community. If you play for any length of time you will get to know all the active players (and I do mean -all-).
I've played DOTA, HoN, and Demigod.
I dislike HoN, it's boring and uncreative. DOTA is fun but outdated. Demigod is a new take. It's got a small amount of heroes that are very well developed.
The main downside with this game is the frequent bugs, crashes, and other errors you will run into. But it's worth it, especially considering this game is only $5.
For $5 sure. Just be aware that the game is not very well balanced. There are too many heros, skills, and items that are, quite simply, too bad to ever actually use.
not really true. It has great balance. The less "good" items and skill trees there are, the quicker it is to learn the character ^^;
Once you learn that only four helms "exist", or only a few skill trees "exist" the better you become. Once you play with the good builds and items, the game is quite balanced.
I wish there was a bit more item diversity I guess but as you get better certain items become more playable because I find them more skilled items it usually is simply easier to just HP stack your way to victory under most circumstances.
I think these items fall under this catagory:
