Man the #*($& up

A) Play random PUG games, like all real men do :)

B) Some peeps need to STOP crying about generals vs assassins.  Enjoy the game more.

Some of the most memorable games are 2 regs and a TB against 3 t1 generals on random.  We lost, no surprise, but we tore them up and the desperation of our situation evolved some crazy ideas.

Hell, last game we'd universal gadget our "bait" guy leading the greedy SOB into 12 mines.  Little mark of the betrayer and a dual snipe for flavor and the other team wouldn't chase us much anymore.

We've used items I haven't used in a loooong time, if ever.

Get out of the "T1, must win, must stack teams, must rage if we don't have a general".  Join random and suck it up, sol-jah!

I only ever played 2 Demigods and never played a General. A Random game would be awful for me ;)

You know this message is really going to inspire all those random puggers out there....oh wait, I'm pretty sure 80% of the people that read these forums all go on vent now.

FAIL  O:)

You really can't join random pug games and not get kicked if you have >150 games.

They're all noobs only games for the most part.

As far as 'man up', I agree.  With pug games (they do still exist)(and yes, it's more fun with voice, except all my good buds moved on to LoL or HoN or some other inferior game) , my big gripe is those who see the random draw and decide their side has no chance so they quit before the 3 minute deadline.   Geez, random is RANDOM, and you should play what you get.

Triple rook says your argument is invalid. 24 towers deal 2280 damage per second, and 3 level IV hammer slams do 5100 damage. One second = 7380 damage. All of a sudden you need >8k health to survive a fight for more than 1 second at level 13 or so.

Triple OAK, you'll never kill any of them or own any flags. All they have to do is stack health and hold the health flag and you won't win in a team fight.

Triple UB will just kill you instantly with ooze + spit + grasp.

My point is, unless the two sides are reasonable, you should just rehost. (I think 1 random general and 2 random assassins has a much better likelihood of a fun  and balanced game)

Actually, triple rook might be pretty interesting to counter.  As far as 7380  damage in one second, I'm not going in there, but that's only 1 spot on the map.  Gotta make em move.  I remember a random game where the other team had a douible DA.  Was pretty easy to get double swapped into another time zone.

Triple UB or triple oak would seem tougher to impossible.  But that's not the point.  I'm talking about 2 semi equal teams with the difference being 1 side has a ub versus a da.  What you're talking about, triples, i have not seen except for my favorite game, 3v3 and all reg.  That is a blast.  Cind3rs point, which is what i am agreeing with, is that in a random game, some advantage will probably go to 1 team.  That's part of the risk of random.  If you want to say 'random but reasonable',  then that's ok too.  I'm saying ' i'll see what the draw is and quit if i don't like it ' is wrong in most cases.

3 UB's Vs. 3 TB's

Drool, Chomp, Burp...............Done

One TB goes pure ice w/blood

One TB goes hybrid w/symbol of purity

One TB goes pure fire w/blood

The 3 UBs all spit on the hybrid TB (because he has the lowest health), he uses symbol of purity.

Each TB does far more AA damage than the beasts early game, fire aura speeds them up, and ice aura slows the enemies down.

It's kind of a cheese strategy that wouldn't work if the enemy beasts figured out who had the symbol and planned against it, but if everything went right, I think the TBs could get quite a few early kills and outlevel the beasts.

I'd be cool if Random Games could give you Fire/Ice/Hybrid TB, disabling the abilities for Ice/Fire.

No kidding.  It would be pretty sweet if they could go so far in a game mode or panth as to restrict builds or abilities.  Or even a no lock game... or no tps... or blah... lots of fun options - and I think quite a few of those could be built as mods if someone wanted to take the time (and enough people were interested in playing a game like that).

On topic though - play where ever you like.  Pugs are fun and I do enjoy the random assassin/general games - I also like more competitive games from time to time (though currently really enjoy pug life).

I almost exclusively was a pugger for over 1.5k games. The last 800ish games I have played have been on vent and boy do you get better games, better competition and meet some nice guys with Vent.

Vent has made DG a million times more fun to shit-talk and not fuck up playing.
