This "ranking" is going a bit too far for no reason. Why make game against another tier ?? Just to proove u're better and can get in another tier ? You cant determinate this by only one game. BTW i think tier 1 to 4 will be good. Keep this threat active

That was my thought as well.  Just having people with the exact same opinion of player talent in the committee will result in their POV, right or wrong, being more dominant in the rankings.  So, if we look at players talents from multiple angles, hopefully we will get a more accurate picture.

I still say we're in a good spot with not being able to view old replays.

I think all the decisions made should be off new replays so it shows current abilities. I don't think anyone should just be moved without a current one.

But that's just me.

Edit:  I know I have them in the right folder.  Documents---> My Games ---> Gas Powered Games ----> Demigod ----> Replays ----> eat my shorts

So I stick them all in there then try to go to the demigod game and watch them and all that is in there is a my last game replay.  I am totally lost.

^If anyone on the team picked random then it doesn't work or something like that.

Oh and also because of the new patch you can't watch older replays, but it's not like I tried.

We generally use gamereplays to post our replays.  One thing with their system is that sometimes (might be all the time) you can't post the replay if someone went random.  I'm not sure, but game replays might need some sort of minor update to support the latest version of DG.  If someone wants to try to post any replay from the latest version of dg, let me know here if you had any issues and we'll see if we can get someone to sort it out.

And you can almost just upload a replay to any site that supports free downloads, but gamereplays offers a better interface.

Edit 2:  I did a little bit different of a build with my UB.  But it was because bron was a shield using bastard oak.  lol.  So I wanted to be able to confuse him with 3 points in foul grasp.  He would normally wait to shield this way I could knock his hp down low then grasp him for enough to kill him with a bite.  There were also a few key movements like when they took our flag on the bottom right.  I did a little elaborate plan to get it back.  

PS: this is def. not my best game.  But I want on that fing list.

This is an example of exactly what happened. Your beast was fine. However do you think I played with the same precautions and focus as in the tournament? PUG games are PUG games. If you want to proof yourself for the tier list arrange some good matches for it. Then I won't play laying on my bed while watching TV at the same time Also I was showing the game to one of my friends while i played...

I guess i have to start using smurf accounts when I'm not playing 100%...

EDIT: Tomorrow I am going to go through the current list and make a tier list minus myself, perhaps tomorrow we could get some 2v2's in as well koush because I haven't played with you in ages either.

i think all 5 committee members should submit a tier list onto this thread and the ones the names that correspond identically on each list will be put on the thread list while the others will be discussed.

I've beaten everyone on the old tier 1 list and I've lost to almost everyone (or everyone) on the old tier 1 list - sometimes when I've just got random pugs, sometimes with a team.  Zen makes a good point about player attitude in a tournament or more serious game though. 

howboutnoooo - please add an UNRANKED section to the list and add DD-brandon_varn.  We can discuss him and place him, then give him the opportunity to fight in an advancement match if he doesn't believe he's been ranked appropriately or wants to move on up.

Also, I'd like to make Renz part of the committee, the guy plays with more people then me so he probably has a much fresher opinion on people while remaining equally unbiased when ask for a real opinion, do any other rep's object to this? I consider renz to be just as good as me in pure fighting situations.

So the committee should be 80% OMG players and also moderated by the least intelligent person in OMG?  It's not as if you are going to generally have the same opinion?  Go back to it being just your list if you're going to completely ignore what Koush has to say.

that's a wee bit rude, but note that moderating and being on the committee aren't the same thing - howbout has simply offered his time to update the OP as requested by the committee. 

Everyone that is currently in the committee all have somewhat different opinions on talent - that's my take on it.  Note the tier 1 list I provided - not a single OMG member in it... isn't that strange?  I guess I'm just going to vote for my pals as being the best at the game, eh?  And note koush's list - he essentially just voted up the folks he plays with on a regular basis.  That's not to say Koush's opinion is invalid, I'm simply suggesting that adding someone that's simply going to agree with Koush doesn't add all that much value if we are trying to come to a consensus based on varied points of view.  What do you think are the odds that everyone in Koush's tier 1 list would vote each other to tier 1? 

Anyway, my take is that the people that are on the committee will all vote a bit differently.  Then we get our initial list setup.  Then we have matches and people that think they have been placed incorrectly can fight it out, earn the place in the correct tier, and that's all there is to it.  I really expect that the committee should ONLY be useful for initial placement.  Anyway, I don't have the final say as it is a committee, I just think different viewpoints of experienced players is the best way to go for the list's creation instead of the same view point from a few players that regularly play together.
