Favorite Laptop Game

What games do you enjoy on your laptop?  Generally speaking, a laptop game for me needs to meet a few requirements:

1)  Playable with minimal mouse movement, or at least non-rushed mouse movement.  Starcraft 2 wouldn't work, as an extreme example, but worldwide football manager does.

2)  Playable with minimal system requirements.  Laptops are getting more powerful, but the average laptop still isn't up for playing Left 4 Dead.

3)  Playable without a constant internet connection.

4)  Playable in short spurts.

So, without further ado, my favorite laptop games:

GTA 2.  Very arcade and involving, but playable completely with the keyboard.

Peggle.  You can take your time aiming, even if you do use the mouse.

Plants Vs. Zombies.  It does require some active clicking on the sun drops, but in general seems to play just fine.

Worldwide Soccer Manager.  I suck at it, but I do enjoy watching my soccer teams fail miserably.

Civilization 3, or 4.  Lots of depth, easy to save and resume later.

So?  What about you?

Yout took PvZ you ninja. >:(

Yet I have a better laptop, hell it plays Crysis, if for 20 seconds before meltdown, yet for long periods of time most games will melt it.

The ones I would say are:

PvZ

Company of Heroes, it somehow never makes my laptop go poof

World of Goo (beat it tho, very nice game if you haven't)

HoMM 3

Diablo 2 / Starcraft / WC3 (Don't say anything starting with wo)

Toribash, if for short periods

Heroes of Might and Magic 3

Magic: the Gathering: Duels of the Plainwalkers

Master of Magic (soon to be replaced by Elemental)

DEFCON and Uplink

Sin of A Solar Empire - was all I played for a few months

Warhammer 40k DOW2

so many really but the ones that really stuck were SoaSE, DOW2 and presently Magic.

my laptop is a netbook -- Caesar III, and Battle for Wesnoth run well, and HoMM III is ok other than the cutscene movies.   I was hoping release version of Elemental has a Netbook friendly mode, but the betas haven't been.

Oh, and how could i forget: Master of Orion II.

I just bought this game (Sins of a Solar Empire) so at the moment I'm playing this - it's awesome. And despite your original post; I DO play left4dead :P

But to contribute more, I play any game  I get my hands on really, as this laptop serves as a desktop replacement and performs just as good as most; however I LOVE indie games, particularly when you're on the go and using the laptop away from home. Games like Defcon (mentioned earlier), Machinarium, World of Goo. My favourite indie game atm would have to be Euphloria - similar concept (sort of) to SINS, only on a much smaller scale and a lot quicker to pick up.

End of 4Nana's quote

I just played a game of Left 4 Dead 2 at my kitchen table. Sometimes I like to play Sins of a Solar Empire while I wait for the plane, if i don't have a good book on hand of course. The games at GOG are great to play while on the train, especially HoMM 3. After watching a Netflix movie with my girlfriend and I'm still awake, I do more beta testing of Elemental or maybe a couple of rounds of Warhammer 40k DOW2 before I go to sleep.

Laptop's have their purpose.

Just wondering how good my new laptop is going to have to be to play elemental.

Peggle for short-plays, and Gal Civ II for longer adventures. :)

Battle for Wesnoth and Civilizations: Alpha Centauri. There's plenty more I'd love to play such as GalCiv 2, but my laptop's specs suck :( I also have HoMM3 around here somewhere, but I could never really get into it.

And before you say "but GalCiv 2 runs fine on my netbook!", yes, my laptop is far worse spec-wise than even the cheapest netbook. Incredible keyboard though which is why I'm not replacing it any time soon.
