Some more or less random thoughts:
I still don't know what the say about SC2 (note that i'm mainly a single player when it comes to Starcraft and haven't even touched ladders yet, if you don't count the beta).
...
Maybe if i tell that i can't wait for the expansions sums up what i think pretty well?
Ain't regretting that i bought the Collector Edition nor that i played the game through right away, took some 13-15h. The story is quite gripping. It has its weak moments, and characters, but overall, loved it.
Heroes could have been implemented better. Regenerating health+better stats, and maybe somesort team color circle under them like in WC3 to better distinguish them when you have a lot of units.
Hard difficulty feels hard and challenging... and the achievements are addicting, i'm very annoyed every time i miss one but achieving them is very satisfying. I like achievements, they add replayablity, fun... Good addition really.
Have to say that i'm very disappointed in Blizzard's decision to not to add any completly cut units to the editor. Dragoon (if it was ever coming), Reaver, Soul Hunter, Tempest (don't like Carrier that much, looks wrong), Twilight and Dark Archons, some Zerg units, etc whatever was cut or didn't come back. Can't make good SC1 remake mod adjusted to my own vision now :/ Sure, Stalkers can be easily modified to be Dragoons but don't look and feel the same.
PS Found out a cheat code by accident (well, i did try it intentionally if it works). "terribleterribledamage" is god mode. Disables achievements until you start a new game or load game. If anyone read the code from StarCraft wiki, i added it (T51b in Wikia sites, TSIb in SC2 since numbers were not allowed). I don't claim that i was first to find it though, and Blizzard actually "joked" that they could make the phrase a cheat.
