In an interview with the french website Gamers.fr (http://www.gamers.fr), Chris Taylor announced that Gas Powered Games is working on a sequel to Demigod.

I don't think that Gas Powered Games is going to have any new game published by Stardock since the Demigod launch fiasco. It will be probably on Steam and published by whatever publisher they get (based on what is going on currently, it might be Square-Enix)

I disagree. Brad and Chris are really good friends. The two teams are very friendly.

Considering how much Stardock did for Demigod, it would be unfair to pursue a different publisher. it would not be the same.

Maybe its better that they don't work together anymore because they're friends.

Brad Chris's Business Partner: "We are disappointed in the new patch you sent over.  The actual bug fixes that we requested and were listed in the patches change log were not instituted which is unacceptable.  Please let us know when you have a patch ready that better complies with the terms of our contract for your company supporting this game post launch.  Thank you."

Hrmmm, i feel like missing something. Was there any story behind the SP mode? Did anybody actually play the SP "campaign"? o_O

I'm with Thunder, maybe it's better SD and GPG don't work together this time. Just imagine how awesome would be having a proper Steam-like friends system, not having to wait a minute to chat with friends, with different lobbies and chat rooms, a proper-matchmaking and ranking system... Hell, i feel like giving LoL another try :|

Hey, we could have our own Pantheon ;)

Get one person per DG, play 4v4s and add up the Favor Points each round. Randomize the teams and such, lol.

A lot has changed since Demigod. Demigod 2 should be a Stardock/GPG endeavor. It wouldn't be the same without them and I feel like we're owed a sequel =P

Actually I don't think so, it's all about favor points and Oak isn't the easiest character to get them with.  According to pantheon he only averages 77.6 per game.  Occ is the current leader with 84.5 per game.  That's probably because even when he loses a decent Occ is pretty much guaranteed to get damage and reinforcements.  Reg's even got a shot to win if he's paired with the right guys since it's  easy for him to get points.

I bought Demigod when it came out. I found it very fun. I recently installed and started playing a bit again.

If they are going to make a sequel to Demigod. They need to make it micro transaction. Like other games that are free to play with micros that are comparable to Demigod. Such as LoL or HoN. I play LoL quite a bit and Demigod is like a slow version of LoL. I actually like Demigod more. The problem is there are not that many players. On a saturday just now there were 4 games avaliable to play in. Thats disappointing.

Also need a matchmaking system based on ELO rankings. So that people don't need to make newb and non-newb games. It would match people based on their skill levels.
