Hello,

I quit playing Demigod a bit before the new heroes and replays were out.

Fill me in on what I've been missing.

How are the new heroes?  What are they good/bad at? 

Are heroes balanced well now?  When I quit most heroes except Rook and TB were considered OP:P

Any new items?

Are favor points done sensibly now?

How are replays going?  Do we need to save locally after each game or are they hosted automatically for us online?  Is there a web site where people share great replays?  Is the replay editor nice (can easily switch between people and see watch their POV throughout the game, can skip around inside replays, etc.)

Can we mod this yet?  New maps, heroes, etc.?

Can we have more than two teams yet?  Always wanted 3-4 player FFA or 2vs2vs2 or something.

Skirmish and Pantheon.  I remember one was folded into the other.  Are they still alive or are we subsiding on only custom games now?

Whatever else.

Yeah sure times have changed, but it's easy to see that if he stuck around until now he'd be at the top. It's not that hard to distinguish the intelligent ones from the rest of the batch.

Playing these online games made me realize how much difference a brain actually makes. I used to think the best gamers were those fat smelly guys that had nothing better to than play video games all day while locking themselves up in their parent's basement.

Aren't interrupts of shield a lag issue seeing as though it has "0" cast time. i.e the interrupt should fall either side of the cast but technically not during.

not really sure as to the root... just know that it CAN happen on level 4 shield.

exactly - i usually just stick with 3 period.  But sometimes, if you have a weaker player who doesn't have the a port, etc, I upgrade shield past that... that's pretty much the only time.  3 sec is enough to get out safely at the very least.

I was just having a web browse for shield info and found this:

It states that shield has an 0.2 s cast time, whereas I always thought it was immediate cast (i.e. as soon as you click). This would explain how it can be interrupted if true. Is this correct?

What I was getting at about shield 4 is that you can get caught short on mana (+100 over shield 3) and not cast as the cost is increased. But I guess the small heal and (especially) negative effects purge is probably worth it late game where mana is not in short supply.

Lol I never said cloak was garbage, I like to go cloak Erebus sometimes too.  I just said it's not good in a competitive 2 vs 2 as Pacov suggested it was.  For example, would you ever try cloak in a 2 vs 2 against 2Nana and Heros-Temp?  If you were on my team and did I'd probably quit right away.

 I did fine that game, pretty sure I was the only one who had any kills.  You tried to play cloak oak and 2Nana handled you lol http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/game/1339790/player/84804/ .  That's why I strongly recommended you to switch to blood Erebus for our next game against them, which we won quite easily http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/game/1343253/player/84804/ because you were kind of able to defend while I worked the map.  I did spit in the second game which made things a whole lot easier though, you're right.

yeah cloak against top lvl high players that won't die is not as effective^^ yeah you had two kills very early on , but then they just outhealed all the damage we did with their monks lol

Lol don't diminish my achievements, I had 3 kills before they started outhealing all our damage with their monks!  Spit's not as important for fighting against them though, it's important for taking out towers, you have to push harder then them and it takes spit to do it.  Now you're starting to get me worked up, let's go to Korea and challenge them!  First a 2 vs 2 on cataract, then an actual fight! :(O

In other news, yes you can interrupt Shield with a very very lucky Pounce or whatever. The window is so small it very rarely happens but I've seen it plenty of times over my games. Interruption of Shield IV with Silence is another matter entirely.

Ya I've had my shield interrupted multiple times in a game.. it's gay when the other person gets in sync with when you shield and just starts nailing it.  Very hard to do.. very unlikely.. but.. can definitely hapn and it's super gay.
