For a while now I have had banned UB from my games, (with the few exceptions of players I play with/against on vent.) this has gained a lot from OK whatever, to idiotic and offensive responses from other players in both lobby and game, with one of my favorites being "I would have raped you if I had UB whiner."  Which is a generic response in games I have played. My second to the last match whined about not only being able to be ub, but complained saying I was playing an overpowered demigod, queen of thorns. Now I am really puzzled, so at what point did queen of thorns become overpowered? This is the same queen of thorns that has no stun and can't stop ports, locks, or potion pops. The same queen who is mana hungry as hell. The same queen that use to get me kicked from games just for selecting her. So at what point while my eyes were close did she become over powered?

 

Yes I know about the strength of her minions with a ground spike combo, but minions are expensive, especially hers. Her skill tree is sadly linear, and only certain favor items seem to work will with her, especially near end game.

Lol.

  • I HAD mulch, from lvl5 on, mulch II right at lvl10, go watch the replay if you saved it.
  • I SUCK with queen, as much as 95% of DG players, she's the hardest to play DG, by far. You can count with the fingers of your hand the good Queens in the game. I'm still learning her, i've played (lemme check pantheon..) a total of 14 games with her. WOW.
  • I was playing with the newb Cficare and his terrible UB, so if you didn't notice me mulching was because i ran OOM shielding and trying to save his noob ass, who nonetheless kept feeding you no matter how hard i tried. As much as i did once i stopped caring bout the game and you were omgwtf fed.

I wish you saved the replay, i really wish, so you could wank over it, and we could all laugh bout you talking crap.

Lol, a decent UB, how wisely you forgot to mention the name of the "other" teammate, Cficare :grin: . Ah well, tks for cracking me up man :thumbsup:

I remember coming to your lobby one time, and you told me i could not play as ub, so i picked occ. I held mana lane solo for the entire game, got through all the side towers within 10 minutes, got about 5 kills and you guys concede about 5 minutes after that. If you want to talk about OP, go to another game. There are NO OP demigods as brasher said above, only OP combos. I don't know why you wouldnt want a ub anyways... Most of the builds i see for him are spit and run now. Since the high tower "default" kicked in, no one wants to be a ooze ub because theyre too damn scared to take a little damage, and its harder to get kills because you may have to walk into the towers more. If you had a good qot build, there would be few UB's that would kill you. Your sheild and mulch negates almost all of ub's damage, or atleast enough for you to get to base safely.

So are you trying to make a point by yelling I lose to you? I have lost to pacov, nom, jona, Nom, mcshane, and I can keep going with the list. I have no shame in losing in a game Two I like how you said we conceded 5 minutes in when this says the game lasted like 30 minutes. I'm going to check and see if I still have the replay maybe this counter is wrong. Secondly I'm trying to remember if this was the game where either 1. I was pushed on the hp flag, or by I was force to fight without minions , you know lighting chain and blast off is nice for clearing minions. S since you got such good memory please tell me which was it?

If it was the second which I think it was, I shouldn't have been the one dealing with the occulus in the first place, with the reason I didn't mulch being I had no shamblers when needed.

and Zen... go crunch the numbers on ooze/spit vs spit and run. Compare damagegiven/taken for both builds, agaisnt a common oppenent like erebus. Don't forget to apply mana cost which can lead to no grasp, and loss of melee when chasing. Also, say your chasing an oppenent, who sigiled and was running away, your spit is at 1500 now, and your oppenent has 1300hp left. So since youve been spitting to bring his hp down this low, you have 900 mana left, and spit one more time. Now your oppenent is far enough away, (and you have no mana for grasp) to quickly tp to crystal and live. Where if you spit to begin with, then oozed, then chased, and grasped when he tried to tp, then spit again, he would be dead. I know all situations dont happen like this, but it's quite common with a few differences in different games. Non Ooze builds are for PUUSSAAAYYSSS plain and simple.

well without the spit you have no big burst damage. The problem with auto attack is it's too predictable. If you don't get spit, you will take more damage fighting an Erebus, he can bite you more and heal more with his monks. He would probably not even have to run away, but you. And with the mana, 1 helm and unbreakable boots should really be more than enough mana.

After last night, I'm not sure if there is a counter to a pro ub, but another pro ub.

Well yeah if you have a team greatly supporting one character and letting him powerlevel, of course he's gonna kick all sorts of ass  :D  I'd agree that UB is probably the best character to solo the mana lane though.

I'd like to see Soccer's fire TB against a really good UB in a fight for the mana lane.

 

OMG Synn, QoT is so OP! She never dies between mulch and shield omghax.  :grin:

NoCeilings, when we talk about "ooze beast" we're just meaning pure ooze.  Our default assumption is that any beast gets ooze :P  Sorry to confuse you.  No worries tho.. Zen_God only plays spit + ooze.  However, for some reason he commented back thinking you meant pure ooze when you said pure spit.  The level of misunderstanding in this thread is high lol.

Of course not pure ooze beast. But i do beleive ooze is always priority over spit. I never save points to get both at the same time either. And grasp comes right at 5. If i can't upgrade ooze or spit at a level, like 3. I'll put it into speed.
