Three games, books, and now a TV series.

All that's left is a movie and a play.

There's been a movie and it was actually called 'Stalker' too.

Yes, but it was made before any of the STALKER titles and had nothing to do with GSC.

They should not tackle a movie, as it'll never match up to the original movie.

The TV show trailer looks... odd. Not sure if it looks any good based on the trailer alone.  To me, the creepiest part of STALKER is that you're in control of a character all alone in a location that can kill you at any time.  I don't think watching other people doing that would be as exciting or creepy.

The game Stalker isnt really based on that original movie, it was more of a borrowed some elements from it, and captured some of the atmosphere of it as well.  A strictly based on the games movie would be completely unrelated.

As a big fan of the Stalker series I'd like to see where a series can go(if it evens gets going). Seeing as the game is loosely based on a movie that was loosely based on a book and really resemble neither very closely, I wonder what they come up with. Would love to see mainly game-like world, with Tarkovskiy's style from the movie to it.

I am more curious to see the show. If it is done properly it would be great. Just a story around the STALKERS in  the Zone and the intrigues of living there and dealing with the creatures that live there.

STALKER SofC is by far my favorite FPS shooter of all time. After playing WOW for a month and creating a lvl 63 undead fighter I tried a game of STALKER modded and I never played WOW again.

Wow this does seem interesting. Their is a possibility to make a lot of great things with the world of STALKER. The difficult part will be in doing it right. But already making it a TV show was a better decision then making a movie. Opens up the possibility to make it the right way.
