The REAL Chatroom

The REAL Chatroom

Or alternative Chatroom

Ok, so I decided to create a new Chatroom, because the old one was getting pretty....old!  ;P

Everyone may post here, as well as in the good'ol Flameroom...I mean, Chatroom *_*

I would like to keep this Chatroom civilized. Well, as civilized as most forum threads are (doesnt mean that you all have to be polite like Oatesy, lol).

So for this reason, I may update the OP of this thread in the future, posting certain thread rules, as I see fit.

For now though, post away, and everyone is welcome! :)

Yeah, we don't want to get old but if we have to, 65 to get our pension is a good age.  And I'm not 65, yet..  My husband is six years younger than me, and thus not able to get his pension till 67. Thanks to Harper.  It's gonna be a long two years, because retiring is sort of a milestone. Shouldn't be messed with.

Well, it doesn't help that modern medicine has increased the life span of Man so that people are living longer after retirement age. This means more money is being spent on retirees. Hence the call for increasing the retirement age

Yeah, theoretically. Wait till your 64...... :-"

16c today. Hooray!!!   What a weird spring. Or lack of it.   I think by the time the floods over it'll be fall..... "summer is cancelled".  Dam

I wish summer was cancelled. I am not looking forward to 110+ temperatures.

110+  That also is a temp not made for mortal man. Can you fry eggs on a sidewalk or car...?

Remember I am using Fahrenheit. Plus, yes you can kinda cook an egg on the sidewalk, it still remains a bit raw and is not highly recommended as the sidewalk doesn't get that hot. Flip side, I have had cans of soda explode in the heat.

About 115 degrees F. Yeah, that's hot. Get those days late June to early August.

No, but I have the one that was issued for the 1992 World Superbikes at Philip Island when it rained for 13 hours non-stop.

It was called "Island Magic Returns" ....;p

What's rain?

Rain is something that happens along when there's flooding.

Sounds dangerous, or messy.

I don't think our fair Hamlet could handle such a deluge.   Must've been a Kodak moment there.

But, on the sunny side of life, you have a T.  :)

Of course...115F was a record for Melbourne ....and it's not somewhere back of Burke ...but a capital city [larger than any in Canada even].

Temps inland can get a wee bit more...last year the B.O.M. added a new colour 'range' to their maps....50 to 55C  [55C is 131F]...;)

We've had 53c with the humidex. Don't know what happens but the air disappears and takes on a weight almost..  OK, I have asthma but I know everyone else is feeling it to.

Krdax is alive, again?  yay.  :D

The highest we have gotten is 122 (50), not sure about with humidity involved though I wouldn't be surpised if it got higher as well.

And I am sick today. :'(
