Back from a long hiatus; want to play GC-II again

Hello.

I've been gone from GCII for a couple years now but have been getting a hankering to play again.  I've been on Windows 7 for over a year so none of my old install files are available on my hard drives.  Initially, I figured it should be no sweat if I could just get Impulse installed and then I could log on.

But now I see that Impulse is gone, and does not seem to be available on Gamestop's site.

So what do I do now?  I still have the original discs someplace, but wow, I think I may have bought one of the add-ons through Impulse when it was owned by Stardock.  What happeend to those purchases?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer, and in the meantime, I'll keep poking around over at Gamestop.

Looks like you can download the GameStop version of the client from http://www.impulsedriven.com/ . Impulsedriven.net still seems to be part of the Stardock forum sprawl, but maybe only until it gets transferred to other hands.

From what I've read around Stardockia, your licenses should all be in good order. I updated my installation of Impulse after the transition (it now has the GS logo) and all my licenses are still there.

But I'm still hoping that eventually I'll be able to use something from Stardock to update my games (and maybe install Elemental FE). That, or I want to be really surprised to see GameStop support both the letter and the spirit of Stardock's past commitment to customer-friendly, non-invasive digital distribution.

Thank you for the link.  I'll check it out when I get home.
