I purchased a retail boxed copy of Demigod and decided tonight to install it and give it a look. However during the install process I have to create an impulse account and it needs a serial number. Inside the case is a sticker that reads take two interactive, PC demigod code sticker. If I use that code It tells me it is not valid and to enter a different one? So I went to the stardock site (here) and setup an account and put in the serial number to register the game, it says its already registered to a different email. Anyone else have these issues?
No, but someone must have used an illegal keygen and registered that number.
You're going to have to go through support and prove you have the legitimate copy, and then they'll probably reissue you a new key.
I'd start by contacting demigod support.
I'd recommend shooting an email to [email protected] and explain the issue. Odds are they will get you sorted within a day or so. Sorry you had a crap time getting setup as a new player.
