Antisemitic remark by visca_el_barca

Kind of sad, but I'm afraid I really must request a ban.

 

A bit of history: visca doesn't like me, and that's easily understandable - I'm a friend of Julia/Darkliath that exposed his host desynch 1v1 exploits about a year ago. I don't like him, either. In fact, he bashes me verbally every time we come to the same lobby. I admit I like to provoke him (the guy is so boastful and arrogant, that it's a sheer pleasure), but surely not about his nationality. The dialogue between us was, more or less:

visca: I beat player X in Pantheon 4 times out of 5!

IN1: Yeah, you are invincible, that is widely known.

visca: I lost to him once. Learn to read.

IN1: Well, I'm sure that's because you let him win.

Then his antisemitic assault came.

 

As a side-note: fortunately, it's absolutely the first time I run into something like that in DG community; this community as a whole consists of intelligent, cultured and responsible human beings. For example, I've never had any conflict with Muslim players, even though we are definitely aware of each other's nationality/religion (Orcun, adilteneke, renz).

The reason you dont like me is because i called your sedna build weak and pathetic and since then you keep verbally abusing me with very hurtful comments in a sarcastic, smart-ass way. And im only arrogant with you because it has been my only way of retorsion. But whats enough is enough. You pushed me this far now i could have posted many of these comments but i didnt. No, the reason I don't like you is you have attacked Julia verbally after she exposed your cheating ways. Of course, I don't enjoy your comments bashing my playing skill, but I don't take them to heart, either - my Sedna build has enough 'fans' :) Don't victimize yourself, please.

I wouldn't even bother to post something like this if you were just calling me an asshole, a noob, or... well, whichever words you happen to know in English. Instead, you chose to attack my being Jewish. That's where it stops, sorry. You clearly have no idea where's that line you should never cross. Do you remember me making humiliating generalizations about Hungarians? That's just sick...

The only issue that concerns me is the moderators are reading it. Thus, you will get banned, unless they endorse racist remarks (which I believe they do not).

I think u r just frustrated that you cant win any game against me :)

 

Well, I remember exactly one game I've played against you lately. I have it saved, and I can post the replay: there's nothing about my performance I should be ashamed of. In fact, you tricked me into playing vs you, AntarestheKuuk and a "noob" (who was not a noob at all) with cficare and mkafrica. Antares pmed me with apologies after that match, but it seems to me you are proud of the outcome :) Well, more power to you. I've never seen you play (and complete a match) on a non-stacked team, so that's only logical :)

 i tricked you ?... thats funny. The guys WAS noob. I had to tell him wat items to buy and wat skills to get he had no clue at all... Once again  u prove that you have no idea wat u r talking about. I did not once see a gg from you when i beat you (happened many times :D ), always keep making excuses.  :grin:

Well, some racist people got banned in past, so I don't see why you shouldn't. I believe pacov will reply to this thread whenever he's online. I'm in no rush :)

Yes, yes, sure. That's about as true as your accusations about my comments on Hungarians are. Anyway, kid, do you have a proof of your claims? :)

Well, seeing as how I was the player that dankafogas/visca_el_barca/AntarestheKuuk beat 4 out 5 times, I do have some experience with DiVA's unique online commentary. While it is harsh, while it is abusive - he never crossed any ethnic/religious lines during our games.

The demigod community is so small these days I would hope that on all sides we could be less abusive, more supportive/encouraging to established and more importantly new players. If the move to Steam does occur, we'll have a second chance to build a healthier player base... but the game does not lend itself to that, a toxic environment is all to likely to be laying in wait for any new Steam players.

(Separately, being a mid player at best myself, I have to say that anyone bragging about beating me is not saying all that much about their own skills!)

Just to make sure :danikafogas = visca_el_barca , antares is a different player :) 

 

Anyway, my point wasnt about how many times i beat you, i merely responded to a comment about how you dc in game and certain players get invalid. I was  only saying that out of the 4 times i played with you i beat you 3 times and never got invalid, and therefore , you dont cheat..... OMGIN  left that part out so it might come across in a different way.

 

And the thing i cant understand, OMGIN, is that why cant u just have fun without making rude comment about everything i say. It wudnt have come to this if you hadnt. Also leaving a lobby when we already have 6 players in makes no sense, youve done this many times and it pisses everyone off.

It might have had a different effect for you i  know Jews have been through a lot. If someone said something like that to me i wudnt be offended this much. Certainly wudnt take it as an assault.  Im not really used to this kind of sensitivity, for example i have a chinese friend and i criticise them a lot and he just basically laughs it off. But if it did have such a big impact on you then you should have told me yourself and not post it so everyone could see i dont think its the right way of doing it. Then again if you just wanted me to get banned: thats just beyond sad.
