x-rebirth graphic card question

Which graphic card is better?

I am looking forward to playing X rebirth and the recommended specs for the graphic card is

Nvidia GT500 series with 1GB RAM

And I have : Graphic is: NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 1GB GDDR5 for Win 8

I don't know much about cards and all the names are confusing me, I assume that my 640 beats a 500 but like i said I do not know much about them...

Is my card good regarding this card?

You should be fine.  The DDR5 version has very nice bandwidth, smokes for a bargain card.

 

It's not a high performance card though, you'll want to wait and see how thing stack up with the game, benchmark wise, if you want to be playing at max settings.  I wouldn't expect it to be a major problem, since they've been working on the game for years, but it might be pretty hairy.  You'll be able to cruise through the game at reduced texture settings for sure though.

i think the main problem with games from that company is usually cpu rather than gpu... not enough power and you fly into rocks whilst on seta (or whatever fast forward is called, that said.. they've killed fast forward in rebirth) XD
