Crafting:

I already know the read.me and read it over and over again.

I want to know how to unlock the Magma/Death/Blood Forge. Or that poisen thing (witch hut?)

Could you explain for dummies (funnily in german: "dumm" means stupid ^^),

what do I need to create pe. a Magma Forge? 

I guess its a city spell like vitality/migth/iniative...

Ahhh, Rivermod from Children of Storm.

1. Find a special rivers (blood/corrupted/magma/poisoned), make sure it's in your ZOC;

2. Find a bedrock resource on said special river;

3. Click the bedrock resource, then click the build button, if the button is grayed out, hover over it, should tell you which tech is required to build a forge (arcane mastery/glyph stones/construction/cooperation);

4. Collect resource, then cast whichever city enchantment you've unlocked.

IMPORTANT

Just a reminder for those who haven't seen the previous warning or have been away for some time. Stardock updated LH to version 2.1.

If you want to start a New Game, you need to do this first [and if Stardock patches LH again, you will need to do this again]:

2. Installation (Copy+Paste)

Locate the 0_NO folder:

...\Mods\0_NO\

Copy all files found in said folder (Ctrl+a, followed by Ctrl+c)

Locate the Core folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FE Legendary Heroes\data\English\

or

C:\GOG Games\Fallen Enchantress - Legendary Heroes\data\English\

Paste all previously copied files (Ctrl+v)

If/When asked what to do, click "Copy and Replace"

If/When asked if you still want to merge folders, click "Yes"

Aaah, here lies the dog buried, since I dont have any special resources on rivers and its from another mod.

Have to look how to activate this rivermod to get the rivermod tiles.

Special rivers spawn randomly. When you see one, you will know instantly it is such a river. If you can see the spells (even if grayed out), then Rivermod is installed.

I have never ever seen a river tile like this in any of my games.

How much (resources-) rivers do normally appear?

Guess what I found out after more than 1k hours of gameplay?

The random map generator. Yeah!!! I love this game. Here are also this river tiles I missed.

I'm a real specialist, indeed.

Can appear on any random map sizes: the rivers are just stamps and random maps are generated with stamps. Average is about 1 on small, 2 on medium, 3 on large, more on bigger random maps. I generally don't play w/ Rivermod installed and XtraDeconstruct doesn't modify it, but the rivers do spawn, I've tried it. There's a warning not to use it w/ Huge+ maps here, so something to consider.

It maybe possible that I ve seen it in the beginning, but then I first played the Campaign and then I wanted to see the designed maps and then I probably forgot it with the help of substances of illegal nature blah, blah...

Looks like the issue is with the Tactical Autocast. I do feel this was working correctly before, hopefully not a background change in v2.1. I will check this more next weekend.

just a heads up about the rivermod, make sure your using a faction that can actually build the forge, I don't think it takes a special trait but children of storm races aren't able to build all of em.

There's still a problem with the summon wight (t) spell.

I have a feeling that it then freezes, when the 3x3 field of tiles, are not all empty.

You're right, not sure why it does that. Second summon spell with issues (Tluzoo being the other). I'm going to have to check some other summon spells to see if something changed or if it's an XML error. -"This and more news at 11".

That said, the spell shouldn't be summoning 9 wights, the 3x3 is for fear effect. Fixing it to summon only 1 fixes the problem while retaining the fear effect (3x3). Was a quick fix :D

I'd give you karma for your post (and the previous one), but the feature is still broken (*Paranoid Mode*: on purpose?) on LH Modding so I gave it to your profile instead.

5. Save, restart LH, start a NEW game.

Working on small patch which will be uploaded to Dropbox. Tentatively, 2.0.p.5 (brought to you by chumbaba!) would contain the following: 

- Create Wight Spell fixed

- "Enrage DMG" and "OP DMG" unit stats replaced by "Can Enchant" (Enchanting Power) and "Can Forge" (Forging Power)

- Faith Air/Faith Fire can no longer ride ponies

- [Work in progress] Tluzoo fixed

EDIT: And the reason why I post this, is if you have other issues, then there's never a better time to post them than before a patch, otherwise it can be months before they get fixed.

Should have made a list.

All I remember is in the darkling tech tree, the tooltip of tanned leather armor, shows a 13def, probably the item is ok, but I didnt get so far to find out.

That's the "full set item", it's not something you can buy, it's just there for informational purposes.

Modifying improvement priorities (and other AIPriorities) is already done in XtraDeconstruct on a much larger scale than in any other Mod, but that's hardly sufficient to help the AI be really competitive. AI will hit a wall around 20-25 cities and will be incapable of overcoming the problem. At any rate, you can only find out about the complexity of XtraDeconstruct if you play it.

I know this is years old, but there is a way to deal with this, somewhat.

 

You can create unit ability with modifier:

            <GameModifier>
                <ModType>Resource</ModType>
                <Attribute>Unrest</Attribute>
                <Value>-3</Value>
                <Provides>-3% Unrest in the city this unit is in</Provides>
            </GameModifier>

And add it to all basic city militia units.

Just my 3 cents.

This must qualify as intra-thread necro'ing. ;)

The post was mostly about AIPriorities, indicating solely working on these only takes you so far w/ the AI (20-25 cities). Beyond that, you do, indeed, need additional measures for (AI) unrest management. The measure you propose would certainly work, but the mod does it differently by adding 1% unrest reduction through the blood abilities along w/ various other measures (e.g. Unit Design Patrol Trait, -3%). That said, unrest in the mod is quite different vs the vanilla game. Generally speaking, it is still present, but I think it's more manageable.

Speaking of advanced modding, do you perhaps have any idea how to properly use abilities that are based on weapon a unit is using?

I'm trying to make a copy of Master Archer ability, to have it add perlevel values, but so far it doesn't seem to be working right.

Make sure your ability is using the exact XML syntax. Yours is missing the <vsHigher>1</vsHigher> tags. Also, I'm not sure <PerLevel>1</PerLevel> tag is activated for these. If it's not, then you need to use a BattleAutoCastSpell to make this work, see Archer Hands/Heart of the Target in Black Market Bazaar Mod.

 

MasterArcher: "+25 Critical Hit Chance when using a Bow"

IF StrVal2 (UnitStat_IsBow: 0 or 1) is higher (vsHigher=1) than BonusValue (0.5), then (BoolVal1=1, true) StrVal (UnitStat_ChanceToCrit) gets +25% (Value).

BonusValue is just a number you compare your UnitStat w/. I usually input 0.99 instead of 0.5.
