I'm running with this mod and find that I'm constantly crashing. I was hoping someone else either had this issue and was able to fix it or that someone could help me track down the problem.

Best to (re)do step #2 of the installation process before playing a new game, but if you don't do it there shouldn't be any problems, just the map sizes will be ordered differently because the 2.5 update will restore CoreMaps.XML

 

As far as I know the only change they did to CoreMaps.XML was adding <MaxSupportedPlayers> which prevents you from playing against say 25 AI on a tiny map. In other words, if you (re)do step #2, you will remove that limitation and the map sizes for the mod will be ordered correctly.

Yep once I pick my usual settings and press play the game launches to the creating world screen but it never finishes loading into the game.

So, I've been playing with this mod and I like it a lot. However, I suddenly have Byronic Absinthe on my Sovereign and can't cast spells. Is there any way to get rid of this effect?

Hey Hanadon, I'm sure you know by now, but it's not something you can get rid off. Best not to use on Sovereign. I usually give it to a Trog Champion since they often end up going berserk anyway.

Installation was causing a lot of issues back then and I know it still is. Since I'm not around much anymore and as suggested by a friend of mine, I'm going to post a few pictures of the folder structure for your XtraDeconstruct installation (In this case, along w/ Black Market Bazaar, Champion Bonanza/Pillagers Miscreants Villains, Children of Storm mods, and all the DLC compatibility files).

 

General Mods folder:

You will still need to follow installation instructions found in the user guide (and don't forget step #2 !!!), but hopefully that visual help will help some of you avoid some common pitfalls.

Re: 2.51 (Steam users only, at the moment)

For those who already have the mod installed, you need to redo installation step #2

 

2. Installation (Part II: Copy+Paste)

 Locate the 0_NO folder:

...\Mods\0_NO\

Copy all files found in said folder (Ctrl+A, followed by Ctrl+C)

 

Locate the Core folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FE Legendary Heroes\data\English\

or

C:\GOG Games\Fallen Enchantress - Legendary Heroes\data\English\

Paste all previously copied files (Ctrl+V)

 

If/When asked what to do, click "Copy and Replace"

If/When asked if you still want to merge folders, click "Yes"

 

This will remove all the listed XML changes in 2.51 and maintain the balance for the mod(s) you may be using

  • Early game technology costs reduced
  • Default unit movement increased from 2 to 3 tiles.
  • Sovereign default combat speed increased from 22 to 32
  • Sovereign default HP increased from 20 to 28.

As well, this will remove the unlisted XML changes.

At any rate, doing step #2 will make the mod work w/ version 2.51 (Non XML changes).

Going to add an important note re: installation: Turn off Steam Cloud. For some, it appears Steam is updating some game files if you don't and that will instantly break the installation.

 

(Global)

Steam > Settings > Cloud > Uncheck "Enable Steam Cloud..."

or

(FELH Only)

Steam > Library > FELH > Right Click > Properties > Update > Uncheck "Enable Steam Cloud..."

Doesn't seem to be that option in Steam when i follow that path for FE. No option to turn off steam cloud for it - only "only update this game when i launch it" or "Always keep this game updated" or "high Priority - always update this game before others".

Would it be better getting the GOG version for mods?

EDIT : Ah wait seems i have Steam Cloud synchronisation disabled for the whole of Steam. Not sure if that's the same thing as being able to actually turn Steam Cloud off though?

I've downloaded all the compatible files and mod on the nexusmods. Game pretty works well but their is one question where is other recruitable monster lair sites? I see both warg and horse and merceneray camp, Knights of Asok and dragon temple quiet frequently but I dont see any added campsites by mod in the map. Although I see the added mobs including the mobs that was added by children of storm and other mods I dont see any place to recruit these new type of monsters. Its in the tech tree that I can recruit them also the game encyclopedia but I cant see any of those new added sites. I think also magma river and blood river is nowwhere to be seen how do I enable this features?

Hi All,

I installed this mod on GOG LH v3.0, following exactly the instructions (yes I did Step#2).  Got Children of Storm 1.8c, the Bazaar and Champion mods compatible with these files, and the updated MOD+DLC version of XtraDeconstruct from 2022.

 

Game works fine at first, but when you've played around 40 hours in the savegame, if you save and then load it crashes, and the savegame is dead and gone. Can still start a new game, but obviously I'd like to finish the game I started. 

Anyone else having this problem?

 

My mod folders don't look anything like what Primal posted, but that image was from 2 years ago so I'm assuming its outdated.

Just need the right creatures to spawn, e.g. Wolfmen. If you can't find those creatures on the map, then the lairs won't be there either.

As long as you have the  ...\ChildrenOfStorm_Rivermod\ somewhere in your mod folder, you will get the various types of river. It's random and they may or may not spawn on any given map.

It's not, but it's mostly there for people who can't get the mods to work and need help understanding the structure of the mods folder. As long as it works for you and as long as XtraDeconstruct is your last mods folder, it doesn't really matter how your mods folder is setup.

1. Go to:

%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\LegendaryHeroes\Mods\XtraDeconstruct\X_Shared\

 

2. Delete:

XH_Spells_Tactical_Part1.xml
XH_Spells_Tactical_Part2.xml

 

3. Rename:

XH_Spells_Tactical_Part1_OLD.NO
to
XH_Spells_Tactical_Part1.xml

to

4. Start a NEW game

So I just installed FELH and all of the mods for this mod, no others.  Followed the instructions, read back over them to be sure.  All is set.  However, many of the selectable sovereigns have blank portraits.  Madame Dhana, Renge the Aphotic, and Shirayn to name a few.  There are at least a dozen or so that are missing portraits.

The old tactical spell files have caused issues for me where the ai fails to apply buffs to itself; is there an edit that I can make to the existing tactical spell .xml files to fix them? Would commenting out the summon spells work?

REALLY hoping this wonderful mod gets ported to reforged.  Was so used to playing FELH with it when I fired up reforged I was like "wait where is ... basically every feature from this mod".

Yep, same, I am hoping that this mod can be ported over to Reforged. It's something that would certainly be a great addition. Big props to Primal Savage for creating this mod.
