More Keyboard Shortcuts

I think maybe there should be more keyboard shortcuts.

I miss shortcuts that affect ships, for instance: Set the ship to Guard, Set the ship to explore, Set the ship to sentry, etc.

What is the keyboard command to take a screenshot? I cant seem to find it anywhere but I know its not prnscrn..

I think it is f12, I'm not sure, I use a program for screenshots.  I keep copies of every ship I have designed GC2, GC3 or 3dmax.

If you have the steam overlay on, then the default key is F12. In the steam client you have 'view' menu a 'screenshot' entry.

If you do not play with the steam overlay on there are several options:

  • Use Prt Scr key, this will copy the screenshot to the clipboard, you then need to paste it into an application;
  • Use a dedicated screen shot application. Greenshot is a reliable option, but there are others;
  • Your video card might directly support it. For example recent MSI video cards have an utility called afterburner (free downloadable). This application can also capture video. However it does not capture the mouse pointer in GalCiv3. Afterburner also works on a number of close compatible video cards of other manufacturers.

Here's hoping "last things" doesn't mean all the way until the first expansion ;-)

Among many wishes, I'd like C to center on the active ship and the Num pad with Num Lock off to let you move ships & fleets.
