Ventrilo server

Hi, I have a ventrilo server set up and unfortunately I have very limited room for 8 players, myself included. Sever times will be updated here on the forums only.

 

I have 3 rules that you must abide by on my server.

 

1. No trolling.

2. No cheating.

3. Have fun.

 

Any who breaks these rules will be given a first but final warning, repeat offenses will result in a ban. 

 

Here is the address to the ventrilo server.

 

192.168.0.4

 

Server times. Depending on time zone and location.

Monday through Friday from 8pm to midnight Arizona standard time

Saturday is from noon to midnight.

Sunday is unavailable.

Just FYI.........

 

an IP beginning with 192.168..... is non-routable (as far as the internet is concerned).  That address space is reserved for INTERNAL networks only.  With the IP you provided no one EXTERNAL to your LAN will be able to find your voip server.

In order to make this work you would need to forward the ventrillo-required port traffic from your router to that INTERNAL IP and then provide potential chat-mates the correct EXTERNAL IP (IE. the WAN IP of your router).  Then if everything is configured correctly and you're not in a double/cascading-NAT scenario (ie. if your ISP hasn't forced their modem to ALSO do NAT and have left it in 'bridged mode') everything should actually work.
