E3 2019

Hey everyone!

E3 2019 will be upon us soon. For me, E3 has lost a lot of its appeal with all the other video game expose going on all year long but a number of developers/publishers still announce new projects, release dates, etc. there. With that in mind, what games are you expecting to see announced? What games do you want to see more of?

My list:

Cyberpunk 2077 - I want to see how the game has progressed since last year.
Splinter Cell - I've been waiting to hear about a new game and I'm hoping they announce one.
Elder Scrolls - While this isn't a must for me, I will be excited to see more on ES6.

That would be great to see a new Splinter Cell. The Splinter Cell games have always been some of my favorites. I've never played Cyberpunk. Maybe I should...

ES6 hadn't even heard the announcement.  (The internet seems to be getting worse at giving me useful information...) For whatever reason, I didn't like Skyrim as much as Oblivion - though it was still a pretty impressive game.  Planet Zoo might be nice. I liked Planet Coaster. I would be happy if something great was announced for Oculus Quest. I just purchased a Wii U also, so Mario Maker 2 I'm excited about (if it works on this.)

Here's what I'd like to see, but won't:

  • A new Prince of Persia! lol
  • The Next Dragon Age
  • Squadron 42...heh
  • Skate 4
  • Rocksmith 2 with drum support

I would love to see an ES6, assuming that like Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim it's a single player RPG open world and moddable (not paid mods).  I'm not holding my breath.

If there's a new Dragon Age coming, I hope it goes back to the deep character driven story of the original DA and drops the combat click fest that made me give up on DA: Inquisition because my carpal tunnel flared up so bad I couldn't touch the mouse.

Here's the ES6 teaser from last year.

Here's the trailer for Cyberpunk 2077.

Planet Zoo does look interesting. It's from the same developers who did Jurassic World Evolution so I'm guessing it will be the same with animals instead of dinosaurs. Not a bad thing since Jurassic World Evolution is a great game.

A new Prince of Persia would be pretty cool. I've seen rumors of another Dragon Age game so it may not be a stretch to see another one announced.

I would love to see Elder Scrolls return to a version more like Morrowind. I loved the hardcore RPG elements the game had.

That's a good looking but remarkably uninformative ES6 trailer.

Gamespot has an article up that says ES6 will definitely not be at E3: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/e3-2019-these-games-are-definitely-not-showing-up-/1100-6466984/

Elder Scrolls 6. It will be interesting to see what Bethesda does.

Cyberpunk 2077 looks pretty cool. I'm putting that on my list to follow. I watched a 48-minute video of gameplay also. Jurrasic World Evolution I haven't had a chance to play.

I wonder if that small structure on the left is supposed to be informative about something?

I wanted to ask: Is it me or does E3 feel more...underwhelming over the past couple years?  Maybe the married life is getting to me.  lol  Who knows.

I hear a lot of hype around Cyberpunk but I am most interested in what Microsoft is up to.

I saw bunch of interesting games so far, but honestly, none of them appealing enough to me to buy. Maybe, just maybe the "12 minutes" game.

I would like to see some real-time strategy game....this used to be probably my fav genre, even though the latest crop was kinda meh. Anyway, the only one shown so far is AoE II Remastered, so 20 years old game in better graphics. Aside of that, zero, nada, zilch. Seems like the genre is dead to big companies like EA, Ubi etc... while they seem to believe there is never enough action adventure shooters with RPG elements...like pretty much everything on display so far. Shame.

Aside of that, i would not mind NHL game on PC. But as usual, not a single mention about it, which most likely means this is another year EA wont port it to Frostbite and thus wont release for PC.

Not even going to watch Ubisoft conference now, cause apparently there is going to be new Watchdogs, new Assasin, new Ghost Recon, Beyond Good and Evil, and maybe small Zelda style RPG. Could not care less about any of those.

Agreed. FS2019 looked stunning. I might have to dust off the HOTAS for it.
