Bug Influence Not Updated After Use Of Artifact v3.96

Saves: https://drive.google.com/file/d/11SssanVuMUpnq6E0RN7_5RNYYBaxxH3h/view?usp=sharing

Here is a screenshot before using the "Echoing Heartstone" artifact (+1000 Influence to the planet).
Note that the planet tooltip displays "640" for influence instead of the real value "1640" which is displayed in the planet info area at the bottom left of the screen.
See a description of this bug in this post.

After using the artifact, the influence value is increased by 1000 points in the planet tooltip (1640).
This time it is the value in the info zone of the planet which is not updated, the value remained at "1640" instead of passing to "2640" which is the true value normally.

The planet screen influence tooltip has increased to 1640 points.

On leaving the planet screen, the value in the planet info area is updated and therefore increases to 2640 points as it should have done just after the use of the artifact.
The value in the planet tooltip remains at 1640 points.

Return to the planet screen, where the value has now increased to 2640 points.
The planet tooltip remains at 1640 points.

The influence updates properly once you take a turn.  Not saying it isn't a bug, but the correct values are applied.

I just loaded my last save file (turn 46), the planet tooltip is still not updated.
It's amazing that such bugs can exist, a simple check of the program's operation should have detected and corrected them.

1640 is the correct value, the questions is where is the colony influence tooltip getting the extra 1000 influence points from. I have added this to the list.

The planet "Iconia" received 1000 points of influence in a multiple choice event (see this post).
Then I used the "Echoing Heartstone" artifact which gives 1000 points of influence on the planet "Iconia".
So the planet should have increased its influence by 2000 points.

So it's the other event (Precursor Relic) that's the culprit, not the influence artifact. I have updated the report.

Thank you.

I had the same bug just now… It's sad that the bug was still not fixed three months and a few patches later.

One thing that I don't understand, though… If it is just a display bug, why is it that nether the zone of control nor the tourism income grow when activating the artifact (and waiting a 🤔 turn)? I've gone from 1340 influence to 2340, shouldn't it be enough to grow it? Is it actually just a display bug?

I wish there was more info on how influence works on both diplomacy and zones of control.

Edit: I had to wait another even more 🤔❗❓ turn for it to trigger.

You certainly meant one year and three months. :)
