to ensure better compatibility between WindowBlinds and StartAllBack

Dear WindowBlinds

After using WindowBlinds for several days, I find it visually stunning. However, I have also been using StartAllBack to customize the Start menu and taskbar. When using both WindowBlinds and StartAllBack together, graphical glitches such as overlapping UI elements appear, and I am unable to open File Explorer by clicking on “This PC.”

I sincerely hope your engineering team can further optimize the software to ensure better compatibility between WindowBlinds and StartAllBack.

Best regards

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, I am not sure if Stardock will do it, since Stardock has its own Start11 that work properly with Windowblinds.

Thank you,

When you decide to dl and apply two separate apps affecting the same element/s of the GUI, there are bound to be problems.

You should be asking the devs of StartAllBack to alter things to match up with WB/Start11. After all, Stardock's been around a lot longer.

Stardock's Windowblinds and Stardock's Start 11 work seamlessly together.

There is little incentive for Stardock to alter their perfectly good programs to cater for a competitor's.

The onus to 'adapt' would be more correctly on StartAllBack as that is several decades younger than Windowblinds and thus should have itself been made to work with what exists already, rather than the reverse.

I'm currently using Start11 as well, but StartAllBack allows for more flexibility in hiding the input method indicator, network icon, volume, battery, and so on. This makes the taskbar look much more compact and clean. It's important to learn from the strengths of others.

I've been using Start 10, then Start 11 for years, but uninstalled it today, and installed StartAllBack.  Windows 11 took away the ability to have toolbars in the taskbar, and StartAllBack restores that ability.  Add the toolbar functionality to Start 11, and I will switch back to it immediately.  I hate having to choose between WindowBlinds and the toolbar functionality, just so I can run Windows 11.

You do know you can have pinned popup menus for folders in Start11 on the taskbar?  Allowing you to basically have a toolbar with 1 extra click using considerably less space?
