right click the taskbar and click toolbars then turn it off, if it is one which you created it will not show up in the menu again, if it is an OS based bar it will not delete but it will not display either.

turn it off by clicking it so it un-checks (checked = ed)

I have dl jronos taskbar so I have two now.. but i dont want to keep the original in view but when i right clicked the taskbar it doesn't have an off option i am running xp

Can't remove the original taskbar, with out turning off the explorer shell.

Er well, I'm sure there's a program out there to remove it. But I've never came across one.

what applications is jronos taskbar running under?

ObjectBar and ObjectDock both have the option to turn off the WIndows Taskbar in their configuration settings.
