Any thoughts on a "site themes" library, allowing skinners to contribute?

Its been brought up, but it wont happen. The code simple wont allow it, plus it will slow down the site.
The code for the new site have been and will be tweaked even more towards speed so adding extra code for custom themes will eventually slow down the site!

But I agree, the idea is OK!

Maybe Snowman wasn't clear........ the new site will not be skinnable. The plus side is that the new site will be optimized for speed.

It is down.

I go out of my way to avoid sites with white backgrounds.

If a skinning site cannot be adjusted via skins itself it should at least not have an abundance of non-colour, neither white nor black.

Shows a severe lack of creativity....and thus a poor advertisement for the site content.

Crissy...it's going to be called Wincustomize 2k5 for a reason. Patience.

As for new site themes, I hope Mormegil, Pixtudio, or even SkinPlant will whip up a few. Making new ones for the current site isn't wise because it will only be use for a few more months.

i agree jafo...part of the WC appeal is the site themes .. i my self can not handle bright skins or sites for long..a default theme like multipass would be good...

I personally love the new WC2k5's WC logo, but the rest of the graphics... ...Could be better in my opinion. A LOT better. I sure hope the new site graphics gets a serious overhaul. The layout is fine.
