For those of you who are unaffiliated and looking, I may have the empire for you!

The Lumiere Alliance is looking for a few good sentient beings!

Membership in LA doesn't require vast amounts of experience, time or effort...mainly because I'm new to the game and I've got a baby girl, so I have little experience or time! ;)

Seriously, I want to have an interesting empire full of participating players (which includes chatting!)

As head of a minor empire myself, I wish you the best of luck.

I think most of the players who still check the board are spoken for, though. :notsure:

Not too bad, actually... the Space Arachnids are vulnerable. You just need to get together about eight more people with scores higher than 10,000, or four 20,000 level players or whatever.

There still are a lot of top players out there who remain unaligned, but I don't think they check this board too often.

And if they did, they probably wouldn't join a little backwater like Lumiere Alliance! :)

Oh, well...I'm not in this to challenge the big boys (GROSS, Fellowship, etc). I just want to have some fun. :CONGRAT:

Don't your people deserve the best planets you can give em. Don't let a few non sentient worms stop you. BTW, they are pretty big worms given the picture. Dune sized worms at that. HEHE.

Well, it's just an example. I personally exterminate the vermin whenever possible. ;)

How about...

The top 10 might be a little tough to break in to, but even minors can get into the top 20 with 1 or 2 relatively high scoring players (I used to have a 1 person empire in the top 20 before I went to the MWC). The top 5 major empires are probably set, but don't give up! The more empires the better.

Okay, I've done a little thinking. I'm not really going to get anywhere with my little minor empire. So...I'm thinking of joining one of the Top 10.

Now...who do I join...G.R.O.S.S.? MWC? Fellowship? :notsure:

Alright Barry,

If you are thinking of joining up a Top10, I would strongly suggest a theme empire.

Of course, I'm oligated to recommend the Fellowship to you first. We are a fantasy-themed empire which are also into serving the community, strategy discussions, alternate gaming forms and role-playing. You have visited our thread so you probably already have a good feel for us.

The other Top10 theme empires you should look at are GROSS, Jedi Republic and Freedom Force. They have the coolest folks outside of the Fellowship.

You didn't discourage me...I just saw the writing on the wall. And besides, with a wife, baby, job, and outside interests, I really don't have the time to be the Supreme Commander of an Empire :D

Yes, I'd been thinking that the Fellowship would be a good fit for me. I was a D&D player in my youth, and always loved Tolkien. I read all the books a couple of times and commonly use the names in any RPG game I play. Believe it or not, I haven't seen Two Towers yet, though I did manage to see FOTR on DVD. But at any rate, it looked like time to join a Major empire. I probably would've fit in just as well over at GROSS, though. I've always thought I had a bit of pirate in me! ;)
