CDG Game of the Month

Nice one hut! Loooks like fun, great looking Forums too!

There not my forums, but thanks. They are run by CDG, and I am one of the moderators for the GalCiv forums there. The Game of the Month is one of the things we are trying to do to add to the community.

I heard you already restarted the game. How hard is it?

well, my first try was bad, war with three civs and they captured my planets one after one LOL ,never played with that hard ai intelligence, but then i changed my strategy and now it's going uhm.. normally ..
there are many surprises in the game that i haven't seen ever before.. but i can't say a word of them.. (:(

Anyone else playing the game of the month created by CDG.

What settings are the AIs on?
If they are on Incredible may give it a miss .
If they are Genius or lower I will give it a go.

there will be two levels of gaming, easier is lower than intelligent (what that level then is, don't remember the word ), and the harder level for professional players will be higher..
if i can play this game somehow at the easier level everybody can
check more info from the link on the post above..

i finally finished this game..
it was totally my best game ever (points were lower but otherwise :D) , challenging and a lot of fun..
can't wait the next gotm

All AIs are set to bright, with defualt alignments.

We decided not do the Expert level until some expert players showed up. Each GOTM will have its own rules to break it up.

Anyone have suggestions please feel free. We did this for the community and CDG members. Enjoy!

I plan on playing the GOTM. I will play it with the mod, I just wont submit it to the metaverse or the GOTM forum. It's just a little computer problem that I should have fixed late today I hope.

don't know how good player you are, but that gotm gives a big challenge..

Tell me about it in my first game the Altarians cleaned me up, nothing left except my dog and a pair of dirty sox. (:(

You can join our forum for free and also have access to many mods that we have there.

I am checking with the administartor of the forum as right now to see if you can download the game without joining the forum, but I cannot give you an answer yet.

Okay I think I made it as a standard forum by habit. I changed them to allow all visitors to download, and to reply to the threads in the High Score forum. It will NOT allow full access to the Galciv forums unless you become a member. Now all we need is players, and we should get a good competition underway. We plan to use certain Mods in our GOTM as well. Just to break it up a little bit. Let the games begin!

The important thing is that we will have 2 versions of the GOTM. One for novice, one for expert. Currently we have no expert game running. Once we get the expert players we will run the game. We are hoping this will provide the community with an alternative entertainment then just playing and submitting to the Metaverse alone.

We were hoping to work along with the other GOTM that is being run. I thought it would be fun to have winners of each GOTM compete with each other. It seemed liked a good idea, but the person running the other GOTM did not think it would pan out.
