Got a few questions

Obj dock etc..

Ok I'm not really new to Object Dock or computing but i have a few questions that for whatever reason the solutions are not clear to me

First off I run Object Dock and would love to use one of the optional menuing addons. But which one offers the most functionality? KK Menu seems good and allows me to skin the start menu. But what I really want to do is totally redo my desktop. Should I use Desktop X ? and if so who has a dummies guide
