You can tell what version you're running from within the game by going to the options screen.

Did you click on GalCiv and press the update button? It doesn't just update GalCiv when you refresh SDCentral. You have to choose the module and update.

Great work BTW Frogboy and CarieElfGirl

Larry you'll probably need to reinstall. I have no idea.

The way it's supposed to work is as follows:

1) You load up Stardock Central, click on tools->refresh app data

2) A dialog will pop up downloading 2 files that refreshes the app data info. You would then see GalCiv 1.1 there (as long a syou have a valid GalCiv or Drengin serial # in "register products").

3) You then click on the GalCiv item in the Drengin tab and press the update button that is on the bottom left. It will then download and install the files.

4) Once it compeltes, you can then pres the run button that is next to the update button.

um......three times now while playing the game it kicked me out. Have had to completely restart GalCiv each time :notsure:

chuckles, were you loading a saved game or starting new? Saved games probably won't work.

i checked the gc1.log and it looks like the only thing that downloaded was the gc1.xml file..

Copy: C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\data\public\gc1\production\gc1.xml
Result: Success
Installation Complete.
