Apologies for interrupting the Ring thread with this issue, but your comments deserve attention.

First, your travels and documentation of the state of the Metaverse will be sorely missed. I didn't feel insulted in the slightest by your prank, mainly because it wasn't aimed at me and because I wasn't on the Forum to see it. No need for further apologies.

Also, thank you for your earlier kudos on the website. Ironically, it's part of the problem. Keeping that monstrosity up to date takes a lot of time, and it's easy to get angry when hourly updates are necessary to keep up with pranksters.

I'm starting to feel like a firing cap here. I made a strictly personal decision to leave the Jedi because I didn't like shenanigans at our expense; fine. I explained my reasons in EXCRUCIATING detail over there; fine.

However, this seems to have started an avalanche. I've stated MANY, MANY TIMES that I hold no rancor whatsoever to Cotal/Amidala; I didn't leave because of her. Yet, nobody bothers to read what I say. BlueSteel takes my threads out of context to slam Cotal; the Jedi Order is splitting; Yoda's planning mass executions; etc. etc.

My submission schedule is erratic at best, but I've stayed around because I love the community. I can't speak for the rest of the Metaverse, but the Jedi are tearing themselves to pieces over there. I agree with Arcilte on this one. I'm through posting on this subject until people catch up on reading through my 250 posts or so. I'm sticking my head in the sand until this quiets down.

Obi Wan I know that you already told that you want to sit put for a while, but if you want you can come and join the Jedi Academy for the time being until things calm down and help the Academy with your valuable kwnoledge for a while. I think that at the end we will return, but still things are a little bit obscure. Still The Force has not reveal the future ahead of us.

Thank you for clarifying your position again. I know how it feels to keep repeating the same things and nobody listens. Trust me when I say I respect you and your decision to leave the Jedi. I'm sure it was a very difficult decision to come to. This will eventually pass, just like many of the other "Days of Darkness" have (a term used by Ray a couple of times). Take your time and sort things out in your house. Part of why I'm not roaming through the Metaverse is I think all the empires need to drop back and figure out what's going on...and they certainly don't need my input as to what's best for their empire. We've got enough to worry about over here in the Fellowship!

When referring to the angst shown to Cotal/Amidala, I was really talking about others who seem to have blamed her for this mess. I hope you don't think I lumped you in there.

I'm guessing that recent events will eventually make all of us take a good look at ourselves and decide some things. In the end, the Metaverse will straighten itself out. I think the empire moves are not over yet. When they are, things will be a lot more clear and we'll move ahead from there.

Oh, our little community has had a few of those. But we always survive somehow. Still, regardless over what opinion anyone has over a particular incident, I feel it is better to get them out in the open for discussion. This can be painful for some, yes, but I would much rather let people see my cards out on the table than to have a political tip-toe game where everybody keeps their feelings to themselves and hidden agendas created in shady back rooms of the internet start to rule the day. Gerakken may step on a few toes along the way, but you see me coming and that is far, far better than putting a knife in someone's back later. Just my thought at the moment. Back to your irregularly scheduled thread.

Hopefully, althought the Jedi Academy tread is coming along real nice, we could merge both stories into one.

Oh yeah. Where we find out I'm also the daddy of the OTHER HALF of the metaverse via Cassiopia. Boy Jane must be tired.

I am very early in my gigantic maso so it may be a while before I submit another. Just keep having fun playing Gal Civ and all will be fine.

Found out about my Huge/Crippling Anomalous. CariElf said it is definitely too far gone to save. At least I know it was a money flag that caused it. I'm going to finish the Small/Maso I started last night and then I'm probably going to drop back to Huge/Crippling again. I really like that setup and feel like I need to take a Maso break!

To all FoTR members: Thanks for all your time and effort. You are all appreciated and though we don't take the time enough to tell you, you are all vital parts of the empire. If there's ever anything that any of us can do to help, please let us know. The Fellowship prides itself in helping each other out, whether that help is strategy, technical, personal or whatever. Let's continue our tradition of helping those in need and being a beacon of stability in an ever-changing Metaverse.

Well, I just figure I'd like to start anew. I haven't touched Galciv for a few months now, and many of my scores are old and incredibly low. (From many patches ago when scores were much less.) I figure, well, whatever empire I'm in should at least have the benefit of me providing a decent score...

Also, I regret to say it but I will now leave the Fellowship as well. For a long time I stayed in to assist in our competition with GROSS, but with first place solidly in the Fellowship's grasp that reason is no longer applicable.

Or if you want you can join the new Jedi Academy recently created where the search for balance in The Force and training in the art of The Jedies is our only goal.

Your old scores don't hurt you. The scoring system got revised in such a way that the scores in each thirty day block are independent of each other.

Like Obi, I just want to clarify the issues here. My post about the state of GROSS and the Posse (the 'soul searching' as you put it) has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Jedi stuff, or Cotal/Amidala. My post about that went up BEFORE Amidala changed empires - I'd like that noted, because it's important. GROSS has a particular issue, in my view - it has become Pontius + the Posse, not a large going concern: hence the reason for the soul search. An apology from either of you for pranking was not requested by me, or necessary from my point of view. I recognise a joke when I see one. The problem is that when genuine moves take place in the prank atmosphere, everyone gets tarred with the same brush, and regular players dont know what motives to ascribe to the movers. Amidala is entitled to play where she wants, of course, and my best wishes to her. We in the Posse were feeling some internal frustration (evidenced by Jaws rugby empire and Cypher's holiday in the ANZACs) and it was THAT I was specifically addressing: again, I put that up BEFORE all the other hoo-ha.

Abandoning your previous approach to the Meta hurts you and us, so dont be strangers to the Posse thread, OK?
