The plans are complete. The Republic is no more, long live the Aldarian Empire :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT:

Aldarians are known throughout the universe for their quirky sense of humor and unpredictability. The Empire motto is Last Kid Picked. Another Aldarian tendency is to celebrate with gusto. The Aldarian Calendar is chock full of 'official' holidays that are typically celebrated by 'drinking heavily and behaving badly' (also known as DHABB). Aldarians in the midst of DHABB and wearing odd hats should be avoided.

Having said that, in order to celebrate our new form of government properly, the following 'holidays' have been added:

December 31 – Empire’s Eve. Wearing odd hats, kissing total strangers, drinking heavily, and behaving very badly are the hallmarks of this holiday.

January 1 – Empire Day. A day of rest and recovery (see Empire’s Eve) to celebrate the date the Aldarians tossed aside the Republic as a form of government and became the Aldarian Empire.

Good thought. I've been getting the Drengins to beat up on I-League planets, vulturing the planet, and then giving it to the Arceans. Time to build some DHABB palaces...

My strategy so far on maso has been basically to keep relations decent while getting the influence wonders and vulturing the influence anomalies until I get at least culutural maximizing, and then start with the flipping. What's your typical approach?

I perused Aldarian records, gathering intel for internal use. One interesting tidbit I turned up: somebody here in Aldaria is a Statbot junkie, but I won't name names. ;) Good show on getting going on the Maso victories. You can make it into the top ten. Won't that be something, for the original one-man empire. :)

An inspection of the galactic map shows that Aldarian space is restricted by GROSS and the MWC. Considering the history between those two empires, though, it's probably not going to be a particularly quiet corner of the galaxy... :HOT:
